Paul Kariya and Teemu Selanne each signed 1 year deals with Colorado. Kariya signed a deal worth $1.2 million, but he did turn down $6.2 million from the Ducks, & Selanne signed a deal worth about $6 million.
-
This is tight news
-
And now the Ducks are bitter about the whole Karia situation and him not signing with the Ducks.
-
Colorado gon' be a killer damn man i tell ya, well let's see how they do anyway
hope to see some more big trades tho, should be a good yr
-

Look for Coloardo to try and sign another defencemen, and look for them to try and get a goalie, either Curtis Joseph, Mike Richter or Mike Dunham.
-
avs ain't going to win shit without any good goaltending. and curtis joseph is overrated - never plays well with good team (juss like in Detroit & also for the Canadian Olympic Team)
-
If Colorado can get Mike Richter or Mike Dunham then they probably can win the cup because Richter and Dunham have proven that with a good team in front of them then they are two of the best goalies in the NHL. Also Colorado could try and get Martan Biron from the Sabres.

im a big mike richter fan, but he aint worth it now b/c he has had to be one of the most injury prone players in the nhl in the past 5 years
-
It's not Richter's fault that a puck coming between 80-95mph hits him in the helmet and cracked his skull. Richter is still a goalie that can win you the cup.

no doubt.

richter has also had many problems with his groin
-
he always pulls his groin. especially whenever he does those insane split saves. he's probably the most flexiable/athletic goalie next to hasek.
-
Richter hasn't had a groin injury in a log time. The last two seaons the injury was a concuison. And before that it was knee injuries after he jammed his leg against the post. During the Olympics he proved how good he can be with a good team in front of him and he didn't get injuried doing those split saves in the Olympics.

It s a good news, Paul Karya is my favourite Hockey player, but his team wasn t as good for him!
