i heard him say in 5 yrs hes gone. And he said this 3 yrs ago, so im guessing we wont see him much longer.

maybe if he gets healthy this summer playing might be fun again and he'll play longer than he initially stated

i go with 2 years. even if he does get in to great shape again its still a lot of weight on him an the wear an tear that was done on his body is all ready done

it's hard to tell with shaq he changes his mind as many times as i change my underwear
when he was in orlando he said he'd retire there
then he said after he lost to the rockets in the finals he'd retire in 3 years
then he said in slam that he'd retire after he got his first ring
then he said he'd play til his contract was up
then he said he's going to play 10 more years after the year before last
shaq says many things so ......you never know
i think he still has a good 7 to 8 years left, i mean he's only 30 and has 11 years behind him i expect him to go til he's 36 or 38

yea shaq can go another 7 or 8 years, but as a good player oh hell nah. shaq aint goin be one of those players to keep playing even tho his stats keep decreasing year after year an tarnishing his legacy. he already has his rings what else is there for him to play for. he retire b4 that. there is no way his body can hold up an he keeps puttin up these stats. i played baseball my whole child hood. i was catcher. my knees are really bad now. no imagine shaq who right now is around what 330-350 pounds. in his college days he was 285. hes been playing ball runing back an forth on hard surface with that weight. he aint goin play for another 7 or 8 years to fuck up his already fucked up body.

^ yeah but you also got to remember shaq is probably the richest basketballer in the NBA right now, he said his abs were forever injured butonce he was in LA for 2 years it completely healed. you got to also remember the lakers have probably the best trainer in nba history, Gary Vitti. along with the many doctors shaq can hire. So he can easily treat his knees, Shaq's hyperextended one of his knees but he's gone through so much medical attention that it's actually his good knee now...so as long as he's got good medical attention shaq's wear and tear is a good 10 years from now, the only problem he's got right now is his toe and a couple of his fingers, everything else is fine, he just needs to condition himself and he should be fine.
