Imagin the West without the NWA revolution... You'd really think the West would of been on the map like it is represented today? Not many realise the importance of the NWA revolution to the West but not only for the west, there were alot of rap groups from outside the west who got inspired but ofcourse there also was Run-DMC, Rakim & Eric B., Public Enemy, Geto Boyz... but none had such a impact to make ways for labels as Death Row Records which actually made the West with top Westcoast rappers (Nate Dogg, Snoop, Dr Dre > Warren G, DPG, 2Pac...) which are still having alot of success these days.
NWA WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT MOVEMENT ON THE WEST. 8)

Absolutely. I don't think you'll find many people who'll disagree with that statement.

Yeah but if you think about it, there wouldnt be no Westcoast rap... :o

I think if there had been no NWA, Ice-T could have accomplished similar acheivements, but it would have taken a lot longer.

they "started this gangsta shit"........ u kno the song, but neway they basicly started all that G rap with Fuck the Police and all that and it caught on with every1... so very important but it pisses me off cuz MC Ren still gets no reconition like he should i mean u can look at the source 15th year magazine theres 1 picture of MC Ren and no mention of him or nething

NWA didn't really "invent" Gangsta rap, they were just the most influential with it. Schooly D was doing Gangsta rap as early as 84, KRS & Ice-T were doing it in 86ish. not dissing NWA, they def deserves lots of props but not all of them
