Publicly, the Reds are saying Boone is one of their few untouchables. Privately, clubs that have been speaking with them say they think it's still possible the Reds could U-turn and trade their All-Star third baseman to the Mariners or Dodgers. Boone has said all the right things since the firing of his father Monday. But combine that with the dismantling of the team around him, and there are indications he may have told the Reds it might be best if he, too, moves on.
who thinks this would be a good move for the dodgers. adrian beltre aint doing a damn thing so i think they should make the move

Aaron Boone, whose father was fired Monday as Reds' manager, asked to be traded Wednesday.
The third baseman met with Reds CEO Carl Lindner on Wednesday and made the demand. Lindner agreed, and the Reds are aggressively trying to move him before the deadline.
The Yankees and Dodgers are the teams most heavily involved after a three-way deal that would have sent Boone to Seattle and Freddy Garcia to Boston fell through.
New York's offer is minor league left-hander Brandon Claussen and more than $3M for Boone and Gabe White. The Dodgers are offering cash and minor league prospects.
Cincinnati received $1.25 million in the Scott Williamson deal
