Why do they put a gang of rappers on what is suppose to be their solo album?????????????
i mean its dope if we got one here and one there but on almost every fuckin song >:(
yes the album may be fire and the guest rappers may bring heat but that is besides the point
we buy solo albums to hear more from Yukmouth, from C Bo (well at least i do)
i still give these albums a chance but cmon guest like tech9ne and Kurupt on Yuk's, well they had their shine with their solo albums, i want to hear more of Yukmouth
i saw the tracklistings of both of these cd's and i was like >:( >:( >:(
i guess im more into the more traditional solo albums that have a few apperances
Yukmouth and C Bo are two of the bay area's best, they dont need anybody to hold their own on a song, they can do it solo
anybody else feel this way or am i just too traditional or old fashioned when it comes to rap albums
-
yeah i feel you 100%
i'm a Too $hort fanatic and I absolutly HATE when he has songs with featured artists, and i usually skip forward to his part.
solo albums should be SOLO with maybe 1 or two features between 12-15 songs.
-
for real but at least yukmouth puts out known rappers on his album which naturally gives the song a more unique feel. i hate it when people put on their random lil homies all over an album.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
about yuk though, lets say he has 13 songs, wouldnt u like 8-10 solo songs and and the rest with appearances
im not sayin that rappers shouldnt appear on their solo's just that they should get more shine as solo rappers
damn ive never thought about the quality of guest rappers too, yeah its hella annoying when rappers put unknown fools all over there album, especially when they suck
well ur right Yuk did have some top notch rappers as guest but then he can definitely hold it on his own ;D

I find rappers nowadays need guest appearances because they are either not talented enough or are just lazy (not saying Yuk & Bo are wack most likely lazy). My fave albums are from Ice Cube, Del, Paris & Rakim & they featured very few guests

Only alBumz wit hella guess appereansez that made it Better wuz "Tha Street iz a Mutha" & "2001".
Moss of Yuk'z guess were juss singin hookz.

I get tired of all those damn guest appearances too. It seemed for a while that we were headed in the opposite direction---albums with less guest appearances, but it's not that way now.
