As i'm listenin to this album right now, I'm looking through the booklet and reading through the credits and I noticed that pretty much every beat the Daz produced was mixed down by DJ Quik. This would explain why Daz has never made beats that tight since. Anyways I just thought that was interestin.

And all Daz's beats on Dogg Food were Mixed By Dre. Maybe daz just can't mix?
-
akordin to kronik: Daz iz gonna B wurkin wit kash money, p.diddy & the neptunes - so he wont even B produsin now
-
I agree that Daz did a really great job on this release. Who knows how that album would have been without Daz producing some of the dopest cuts on this.
-
Good point about the mixing...
-
yeah Dj Quik mixed alot of his work on that album
-
u notice how daz says dre stole his beats but yet the only time daz released truly dope beats was when dre or quik mixed it.
-
Hmm.......As much as I kno about producing since I produce, I don't understand where mixing played such a big part when it came to these songs. Usually from what I see, the person mixing jus adjusts volume levels and maybe alters a few of the drum sounds or instruments. Maybe when it says "mixed by" it means that they co-produced it in a way...I donno, somebody else can probably clarify this more than me

Daz hates mixing..he has a shitload of unmixed beats...
thats why he worked with Mike Dean..because he was a pro-mixer...
kronik.

couldn't he just hire anyone mix them? Like just drop them off at a studio and be like, mix these.
