i don't understand the hate either. i guess it's because they are too popular or something ::)
but daaaaaaaaaaaamn that's a huge list! you should post it in the vault or something
-
they Beat iz too...hard ta say, juss not feelin it. I dont hate em tho, they doin they thang/gettin paid, respekt. I juss dont feel em.
-
i dont hate neptunes but i dont see a reason why they should be on a 213 record. when you got warren g, tha chill, perhaps dre....theres no need to get neptunes on a westcoast related project like 213.

so if I understand ...producers cant be involved with this project if they arent from the west?? no offense but I find that a lil bit stupid

a little correction:
producers should not be involved with this project if they arent from the west.
thats just my opinion.

i don't care if there from the west coast, but they need to bring a westcoast, funk type of sound
-
i like the neptunes...i will say that when i heard songs like "beautiful" i liked it but it is definetely not what i expected out of snoop...but i dont think it was a bad change...its nice to hear snoop change now and then.
-
to put it simply, The Neptunes are just plain boring.
-
ok why only westcoast acts should be on a 213 album.....213 is the area code for s. california: los angeles...are the neptunes from around there? doubt it, but is snoop, nate, warren from there? yep...do you think that had something to do with the way they came up with the name? yep....
i suppose you guys wouldn't see anything wrong with the neptunes on a ******WESTSIDE CONNECTION****** album either
personally i couldn't care less if they did songs on 213....i just wouldn't prefer it...but hey, who am i but a person with $15 to buy a cd?
-
tell me why?
cause i got a feeling that producers like neptunes just dont fit on a 213 album. i can be wrong but i consider a 213 album straight westcoast and i think warren g got so much talent that he should make it by himself cause he is part of 213. i dont like snoop´s PTCTBTB so i think neptunes could fuck it up.
and what else do u listen to?
to none of the tracks you listed above except Brand Nubian (another reason why i dont wanna see neptunes on a 213 album).
if ur answers makes sense I'll respect ur opinion
since you are the biggest neptunes fan on this board im sure this wont make sense for you. :D

I get ur point, but a good beat is good better no matter where its from u have to understand that

I guess you should show love to eastcoast & south music ;)

Im sure im not the Biggest fan out there (I used to hate them) but I respect your opinion
-
truth is neptunes be some of the mosdt gifted muhfuckers out ther, they may not always make sick beats and some of their beats sound similar..............but they gotta distinctive sound, jus like dre, alot of is beats sound similar to but its jus the way it is, they make more hits than flops at the end of the day and they one of the best producers out their at the moment makin hits, pleez beleev niggaz
peace
-
Tha Liks Best U Can
thats the most comercialized song by tha alkaholiks ever
i liked it for like 3 days and hated it after
the thing is, they are soooooooooooooo fucken pop
they even turned a underground group into some mainstream rappers..tho it was only on 1 song
i dont like em cauz they made me dislike a song by my favorite group
-

Exactly.
-
ok from readin this thread y'all are saying that your hate towards the neptunes comes from them working with the Westcoast???????
i agree they shouldnt do a thing on the 213 album BUT there beats are dope, not westcoast but not eastcoast or down south or midwest, they got their own sound and its dope to me. and they havent just worked with "mainstream artist", they have worked with others artist such as Common and Scarface who are FAR from mainstream
i guess with them its either u like them or u hate them
-
I do check for Neptunes on the R&B tip. They are usually on point.(for the most part) besides Grindin, a couple of beats for Nore and maybe a couple of other rap acts in the mid 90's, I just personally don't feel them. Much too mainstream for me. Those mainstream beats get old real quick.
-
To put it simple:
They give their dope beats to The Clipse, Busta Rhymes, Noreaga, Kelis, Mystikal, Phillys most wanted & J.T.
Their beats for Snoop Dogg has been wack as fuck.
-
Dam thats a impressive list of beats...I give props to the Neptunes....I mean, they sure aint Dr Dre, but at least they're droppin more than one beat every six months or so....
-
Me personally want the Neptunes on there they make dope beats and they make sure you sound decent. I think chuuch palace was wack but beautiful pushed that album to platinum. peeps dogg out ptctbtb cause of the tunes but they only did 2 beats what about the rest of those wack ass westcoast producers. Fuck that a hot beat is a hot beat. Everybody keeps bring up Dre but Dre cant do the whole album, he only does 3 or 4 beats for his own artist. So who else from the Westcoast is gonna bring tight beats, Jellyroll? that clown needs to join outkast wit that bullshit he puts together, Quik? sorry but his last hit was with Lucy Pearl. Warren G? His story has been the same on every album "the record company diddnt push my record :'(" Yeah cuz nobody at the office was feelin it. Ya'll lucky I aint tellin snoop what to do! I'll have Havoc, 9th Wonder, Kanye West, Just Blaze,Neptunes, Dj Premier and oh yeah 2 or 3 Dre.
-
To me the Neptunes is cool, they make good music. They're really good in what they do and I like what they do - except the stuff they did with Snoop. When I heard they would hook up for Paid The Cost I thought it could be dope, being that they've done dope beats for Busta, Jigga, The Liks etc, but when I heard what they came up with Snoop I wasn't impressed. Somebody like Busta would've sounded much better on the From Tha Chuuch To Tha Palace beat. I ain't hating on the Neptunes per se, just the fact that they're producing on the 213 record. 'Cause based on what I heard on Paid The Cost Snoop and Neptunes don't mix. Nate will most likely (we'll see though) sound dope on any beat, but Warren is something for me that's hard to imagine over a non-West Coast beat.
