As we all know the west has alot of unknown talent, but outta those talents who do y'all believe is gonna blow up? I think Sly Boogy is gonna blow up since he is on a major label now and his california video gonna soon hit bet and other music video channels. Another mention is E-White with the right promotion, but the only thing that hurts him is his age. I thought Roscoe would of made some noise but i was wrong.

If talent plus Style & Content mattered in this day in age..
Crooked I would blow the fucken door's wide open just like a young 92' Deathrow did....ImO.
Even though his sales will prob lack...(due to non Shady affiliation)
his talent and mic skillz alone rank up there with anyone holding the mic today.

I say either Knoc-Turn'al or The Game.. Crooked I is a label away from getting a release.
Roscoe didn't do shit as predicted, and I honestly cant see Sly Boogy blowing up.. he's a too raw cat to sell major units.. I wish he would though, but I label him in the same group as Ras Kass & Crooked I.. superlyricists not likely to sell..
Knoc is my fav. though, he would have guaranteed went platinum if they had pushed him after "Knoc" w. Missy & Dre, that shit was a sureshot hit.
And with Dre, Scott Storch, L.A.C. behind the boards, I can only see KNOC going one way.. up.

I think knoc's chance may have passed, we'll see, If he's on Detox that will change things, it looks like he may well be.
Game looks to be set up at the moment -if- they get his project out fast enough that is... with Aftermath thats anyones guess.

well if the title was "who would you like to blow up next on the west" all you guys have great opinions...but since only Dre, Cube and Snoop and sometimes Xzibit, push the units around here...i say the next one of those that come out with a cd...either Dre or Cube

id like to think crooked i could release a cd but i know that wont happen on deathrow. and even if he finaly releases an lp i dont think it'll be that good on those shity deathrow beats. i was dissapointed by his mixtape too, even though he ripped it lyricly.
its a shame, hes been getting good publicity too.

E-White could do it but problem is Snoop's a joke at releasing albums and only releases his own. An inventory of the Doggystyle releases:

I think E White is around 26. Sly is older than him though, he's like 30 now but he's always sayin that he's 23 or 24 in magazines/interviews cause the industry is lookin for young cats. Age dont matter do me, it aint nuthin but a number. Sly and Crook are to raw to blow up, and honestly, I cant see E-White goin mainstream, even if he's talented as fuck. Last year I would have said Roscoe but seeing the attention his CD has received, I highly doubt he gets another chance. Hopefully knocturnal with his new album and prolly The Game cause of Dre's help. But its sad though, they all have talent and got rid of the 95 era which is good, but they dont got commercial appeal

i don't know if you guys notice it, but sly boogie, mitchy slick, crooked i, roscoe...etc aren't going to blow up unless they change what they rap about to bling bling shit...and that's not what we're about...
oh and if you want to get technical on me....the topic says "who's going to blow up the west" sorry but the west already blew up in like '89 and '92...smart guy.

Yeah.....I believe Ecay might shake something especially since he's getting national distribution. Which is excellent for a Dago artist. Besides Rbeta & Macnificent how many other Dago artists can you find in the online cd shops.

Yeah.....I believe Ecay might shake something especially since he's getting national distribution. Which is excellent for a Dago artist. Besides Rbeta & Macnificent how many other Dago artists can you find in the online cd shops.

i agree with smerlus.. i doubt any of those guys (crooked i, ras kass, etc) would ever blow up, you never see a good lyricist blow up. theres no way that radio would ever play shit by those guys. even though theyre getting exposure and shit , and tehyre popular and good to us, theyre not receiveing the same recognition on a national level. trust me , these guys just dont fit the mainstream image. when youre in a club or in a car, not too many people care about a good lyricists. no one really wants to be trying to figure out metaphors and lyrics and shit when theyre dancing or ridin. ihigly doubt crooked i would be the next to blow up on tha west. even though hes pretty good, his style is just flat out unsuitable for radio in my opinion.

i don't know if you guys read statistics but.....the majority of rap is bought by white people....i don't know how many white people can relate to being "black as marcus garvey, black as dark bacardi" so if you're not talking about BMW's and shit like that, you're not going to see platinum west stars...so just chill and enjoy the music....face the fact that '92 is never coming back
