Title: Unsolvable mathematical riddle?
Post by: _That_Cracka_J on August 20, 2003, 11:08:07 PM
Try to figure this one out:

3 business men are in town for a meeting and they all get a cheap hotel room for $30.  They each throw in $10 to split it up evenly.  Once they go to their room the clerk realizes that he overcharged on the room by $5; he should have charged $25 for the room, so he gives the bellboy 5 one-dollar bills to take them for their refund.  While he is walking up the stairs, the bellboy realizes he cannot split up $5 evenly between  3 people, so he puts 2 dollars in his pocket and gives each of the men $1 each.

Now, this means that instead of paying $10 each for the room, they have now paid $9 for the room, making it $27 in total.  The bellboy pocketed $2.  When added up that equals $29.  What happened to the other dollar?..........

they each payed 9? no the room was $25. 3x9 = 27 so that fucks u up. bellboy took 2 so there goes that, and then 3 for the guys that = $5

so this means that whole lil part i quoted is just to fuck you up, its bassicly lying to you and making you work the wrong way. ignore that and this is simple
