going slow periodically, unsure why... cant really control that.
i've put a complaint in with the host to see if it will help..
i'm doing what i can with the database to ensure all the tables are optimized.

(btw.. had to say this... the new forum doesnt need this as the way it uses the database keeps it optimised..)

i've run a repair/optimize over the tables.. which i've been wanting to do for a while.. when shits ok again the forum will fly :)
(also just 'using' in this fresh state could help speed things up too..)

site has exceeded the bandwidth limit. have contacted Rud.
regardless what happens it'll be back up on monday as the new month kicks in then, otherwise it'll be whenever he manages to sort it.

So i've put a 'robots.txt' in place to stop this ever happening again.

i'm pretty sure it was the robot thing.. i'm gonna snag the dubcnn logs when i get home tonight and see if i can prove if they 'took dubcnn out'

since i've given the database a good workout it'll take a while to speed up.. but as usual (like when the sites been down) the more you use it, the faster it'll get because frequently accessed things are saved in mem on the server, right now its gotta pull them all off disk.

*cross fingers*

.. and if u think this is fast... wait till the new board :P

Ya, you def. wanna block that spider. Supposedly IBM testing a spider for some sort of search engine and that damn thing eats up bandwith. That robots.txt should work.

Yeah, does that all the time..
If you're in the WCC mIRC-channel ppl often comes in asking if WCC's down, when it's working for everybody else..
Could be multiple things I guess.. your computer or web-browser, ISP, or the board..
