i want to edit a few south central cartel songs for school, is there a program for this were i can bleep out the cuzzing
-
turn the mp3 into a wav, then open it wit sound recorder, once your get 2 the cuss, delete before and after the cuss word, then reverse it and turn up the volume 1 notch. save the small file then open up the song again. when u get 2 the cuss, click on mix file and open up the reversed cuss over the song

That's what I used to do.. until I got tipped about a much easier and better solution..
"Sound Forge 6.0" let's you edit your mp3s, and do just about every imaginable thing with them.. quite easy to use too.

can u get that off kazza?
-
i got the demo but i dont understand the insert "silence"
-
U can get it off mIRC, Kazaa, and even Download.com..
"Insert silence" means just that.. you can set in a set time of silence into the track.. you just choose where the silence goes and how long it will be..

Nice recommendation for SoundForge, its workin great for me :D. My only problem is that it saves the mp3 at 64 KB, and that sux. Does anyone know how to increase the bitrate to like say 192?
-
^ it has the bitrate as an option in the save box..
-
^^ Yup yup
The sneaky thing is that it sets itself back to 64KB the next time you save a song though..
