Title: Death Row Records News
Post by: Que (signing off) on August 31, 2003, 06:17:29 AM
Danny Boy is releasing a compilation on his label, Platinum Pearl, which will also be a clothing line (Sean John, Gucci, Gabanna style). The compilation due soon, THIS YEAR will feature all of Tha Row's new artists and other top name R&B/Rap artists. One of the song's playing on DBSoul.com MAY be on it. Troubled Man produced by Wildstyle of Crucial Conflict, Inseperable prod by TJ and I Cant Wait produced by Devente. I'll let you know which when I get details. platinumpearl.com

Crooked I's album will be out next year with Kurupt's dropping around the same time. The first single from Crooked I will be a Battlecat produced track. Thats not the 1st time Battlecat produced a Crooked I song, theres one from a few years ago called "Everyday".

"Kurupt presents Eastwood" and "Kurupt presents Gail Gotti", both schedlued next year on Kustapo, Kurupts label distributed through Deathrow.

Deathrow releases:
Tupac's NU MIXES - Oct 03.
Crooked I - Early 04
Kurupt - Early 04
NINA - 04
Danny Boy - 04

A Crooked I release with production from OG heads like Jinx, Battlecat, Quik, DJ Pooh, Rick Rock, DJ Slip mixed with your new generation would be a hit. But thats wishful thinking.

Ok, Cya.

Crooked I - Early 04
--->Great...why not wait about 2 MORE years! Lol, anyway...I'm still gonna buy it, definitely.
But Suge shouldn't have waited for such a long time to release it...I noticed that the hype around Crooked has been dying down lately.  ::)

Ah well, I hope it actually gets RELEASED this time!

I'm honestly at the "Don't hold your breathe" phase of this whole thing.  Crooked shpuld find a good lawyer, negotiate a deal with another Record label, and get his music out.

If they rushed it and put that shit out last year there wouldnt have been the Battlecat cut and a few others. It'll be worth the wait.

All Deathrow need is the right promotion and distribution, they could blow up with people like;

Crooked I
Eastwood
Virginia Slym
Gail Gotti
Kurupt
Danny Boy
Pac and N.I.N.A vaults

When Suge comes out shits bout to blow up, wait and see.

Trauma, incase you didn't know Death Row released "Dysfunktional Family" the soundtrack this year. "Better Dayz" last year too.

Tha Row should drop a compilation this year along with the Nu Mixes.  After that drop Ja's album with Tha Row's artist on there.  Then drop Kurupt's album with tha 1st single dissin' Snoop & Dre & 50 & Em, along with that have Crook and Eastwood with D.J. Quik or Neptunes production.  Then drop a mixtape with Tha Row artist, then drop Crook's album.  Then drop another compilation then drop Eastwoo's album and do tha same thing for every artist to create more buzz.  Tha more albums tha more buzz.

No, Death Row never did that, it was the powerhouse it is because they didnt release anything until it was perfect. Hence Sam Sneed, Nate Dogg, Jewell.

If Sneed and them didnt drop on Death Row then what chance has Eastwood got?

Crooked I, Kurupt and DB next year thats all we need.

I'm anticipating Crook's album too, but seriously - c'mon. ::)

All Deathrow need is the right promotion and distribution...

Yes, that's true. It's also true that those things cost moeny. And that's the problem since, well, DEATH ROW DOESN'T HAVE ANY MONEY!!! They're drowning in a sea of debts and unpaid taxes. Really, I'd love to see Death Row get on their feet again and get things cracking on the music scene, but frankly, I don't believe they have a chance anymore.

nah, it's not. the dysfunctional family sdtk was more or less a flop, but that was because it didn't get the right promotion. the album was pretty good IMO. death row proved it still offers dope music.

My guess is death row won't release any of those albums, but they may release another pac album and maybe another snoop album.
