Man, fruityloops is fine. You just gotta download some more hiphop sounding sounds to use within it. Trying taking the drum sounds for tracks you have on your computer or on cd, or 1 key of a piano which you can then play in the piano roll to make a dope beat. As long as you got the right sounds fruityloops is dope, damn 9th Wonder produced the entire Little Brother album using Fruityloops so you know it can be done.

Cubase VST, Pro-Tools, AcidPro 3.0, Cool Edit Pro just to name a few. You need the proper equipment to get better hip-hop sounds not software. Currently I have a MPC-2000xl, Korg Trinity, Yahama Motif 8 and an Ensoniq ASR 10, and I'm happy with my hip-hop sounds. I use Cool Edit Pro as my multi track recorder.

Peace
