Yo, anyone kno what programs are good to use to make beatz/tracks? I currently use Fruityloops but I feel it doesnt let me get the tru hip hop sound that I want....any tips......plus if u kno of something better then holla......

Nobody gonna help me out?

Man, fruityloops is fine. You just gotta download some more hiphop sounding sounds to use within it. Trying taking the drum sounds for tracks you have on your computer or on cd, or 1 key of a piano which you can then play in the piano roll to make a dope beat. As long as you got the right sounds fruityloops is dope, damn 9th Wonder produced the entire Little Brother album using Fruityloops so you know it can be done.

I cant find any sounds for it...I mean I found a place thats got some good scratch samples and some good bass samples but when i try to put them into my mix it chops the sample into like however many different sections it wants to and its messin with me....

look into classic breaks.. chop them up to make your own beats ;)

Cubase VST, Pro-Tools, AcidPro 3.0, Cool Edit Pro just to name a few. You need the proper equipment to get better hip-hop sounds not software. Currently I have a MPC-2000xl, Korg Trinity, Yahama Motif 8 and an Ensoniq ASR 10, and I'm happy with my hip-hop sounds. I use Cool Edit Pro as my multi track recorder.
Peace
