As a total newbie to this area of the board, I'm looking for a little help ;)
I want to start making some beats. To date all I've done is fucked around with e-jay, which I consider more a toy than anything you can remotely compose with.
What I'd like someone to tell me is what to do next? I keep hearing the name Fruityloops, which I take it is a downloadable program, but most important to me, I'm ashamed to say, is whether it is free :-[(I know, I'm a skin-flint)
In short, if someone can recommend a program that I could download for free on a measly 56k, I'll be your best mate for ever, and even let you have some of my Walkers crisps ;D
Cheers guys.
