It was produced by both of them. And why would it be bad if Dre didn't produce it? I don't care if your mama produced it, It's still dope.
-
I just checked my book. That's right, it's co-produced by Mike Elizondo.
-
yeah sure its dope....
but would be pour if dre didnt produced it....cuz of the "50 Cent Dre Hype" ya know ....
maybe dre just payed that motherfucker some money
-
Well Mike is one of Dre's musicians, so I'm sure he got some money. But it's not like Mike didn't get credit. It says right there that he co-produced it, played the bass, keys, and guitar on it. Mike probably had the basic idea for the beat, Dre liked the melody, changed some stuff, added some stuff, and bam.
-
This was one of the dopest beats ever made IMO.......
Definatly a beat for the ages...

No doubt.

well it says mike played the keys and bass on it.
the bass tabs are this:
P.M.
----------------------------
----------------------------
-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4
----------------------------
pm= palm mute
4's= fret strumed on bass
and the 4's are on the 3'd line cuz that's what string it's on.
so all mike's doing with his bass is palm muting a note over and over again for the base line (which only ocurrs once in a while on the song) pretty elementry if you ask me but it's a tight beat
G[---------------------------]
D[---------------------------]
A[---11/12--9/11--12\11------]
E[---------------------------]
here's the main beat^ again very very very simple but a little more technique
so basically in a nut shell all mike did in the studio with dre is put his finger in one area of the bass and strum it over and over again. then slide up and down a couple of times on a guitar . then replicate it on the keyboard. :P
hey dre......hire me as your bass/guitar player, i'd hook it up a lot fatter than ^

I doubt it. Beats don't have to be complex to be dope at all. I think the best beats are the simplest ones. As long as it's something new that's never been done before.
