The Gallery Mall in Philadelphia was evacuated after a performance by rapper Chingy drew more fans than organizers anticipated, turning the event into a melee.
The free concert, was sponsored by local radio station 103.9 The Beat and took place inside of the popular Philadelphia mall.
As the rapper took the stage, fans mobbed the rapper and according to reports, robbed him of jewelry and cash.
The entire mall was evacuated and closed due to the fracas.
"A woman was holding her baby and when he came out on the stage the crowd went and she dropped her baby," an excited young female told AllHipHop.com. "Every time she tried to pick the baby up she couldn't because the crowd kept rushing forward."
Another man said that people took Chingy's jewelry and money out of his pocket.
Police have yet to confirm that the rapper had been relieved of his jewelry and money at press time.
In related news, the Saint Louis bred rapper appears on the remix to "Can't Stop, Won't Stop" by Philadelphia's Young Gunz.
