Title: Who was the last West Coast artist to have a hit?

And I mean a somewhat independent artist, ie not put on by Dre or Snoop.

And by hit I mean a national hit song, on national radio, video on 1-0-Bitch & Dork countdown etc.

Lol, "Thugz Mansion" i saw like 3 times on Nordic MTV, while i havent even heard "Still Ballin'" on radio....

WC The Streetz was all over radio but it wasn't really like a "hit" u kno, especially since the album flopped.

The west gets NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO love outside of Dre Snoop old Pac and sometimes Cube and the Eastsidaz

But you see the point, theres been nobody new from the west in years to have a fuckin hit record! Knoc had Dre producing, Eastsidaz had Snoop on it, Roscoe? I bet nobody in New York has ever heard of him.

Aint that some repugnant shit? You have a number of new cats coming out the South with big hits (Bonecrusher, David Banner, Lil Flip etc), East the same. Either the west just isnt putting out good music or just nobody is checking for it. Sad state of affairs.

anyways it would have to be a song from dre's 2001 or maybe restless.....jayo felony get love in the east? hell no.....maybe heard WC's song all of 4 times....roscoe gets some play (in fact he was in buffalo for a party on Aug 31st) but he's not on the top 10....east coast people still mad that biggie died and the west was fucking em up in the 90's......go ahead and ask any east coast cat about the west and they automatically say "fuck them"

Besides a few artists like Quik and WSC, the only music that gets any attention from the west is Shit affiliated with DPG. Its too bad theres not any other clicks making noise...
