Bad news - I've heard its not till october 10th.

Good news - rumour has it 2 months after it comes out there will be a patch to enable co-op mode :O

It will be dropping September 30th for sure.  Just recently, Gearbox and Bungie have announced that Halo PC has gone gold(done w/ making game and ready for shipping).

I really want this game, but my comp is a POS and I don't have the money for a decent one.  :-[

it should run fine on mine. Multiplayer should be amazing, as it was on xbox.

As do all of us.  I know Halo PC will hold that urge off long enough.  All I need is like $400 and I can get a JACKED out PC.  I need a damn job  :(

First review is out : http://www.gamespy.com/reviews/september03/halopc/

They seem to like it, shame about the spec its going to need though :

"you'll need a pretty powerful PC to run Halo at a steady clip. My main machine is a P2.54 GHz P4 with a GeForce 4 and 1GB of RAM, and I've been running new releases like TRON 2.0, Jedi Academy and Call of Duty at 1024x768 without so much as a stutter -- and that's with all the eye candy cranked up. But even at 800x600 with some of the details turned down, Halo still feels sluggish"
