well one track isnt really enough to call it "showin love"... lost boys had 1 track.. i mean sure they cool wit them but u could name tons and tons of rappers than..
but like fabolous is really a FAN of westcoast music.. he hooked up with jt the bigga figga.. e-40.. all kind of stuff.
diddy has done quite some stuff too..
im not sayin the artists u named dont show the westcoast love tho!!!

yea fat joe and mack 10
-
Fabolous 4 sho...
Mobb Deep too, fuckin wit some bay cats...
-
gang starr
-
Busta Rhymes has done a lot with West Coast artists
-
Erick Sermon featured Xzibit, DJ Quik & Eazy E onErick Onasis.
-
right now busta and 50 are showin more love to the west than anybody
-
A lot of y'all are listin' dudes just cuz they was on 1 or 2 traccz with West Coast artists. I'd have to agree with Krayzie Mofo though. Right now no one is fuccin' with more West Coast artists than either Busta or G-Unit. Fabolous is pretty high up there as well.
-
wu tang, eiht was in a few of there videos.
-
Damn I was just thinking about how Redman has been showing the West love, being on Eiht's "Nuthin But the Gangsta w/ Spice 1" and redoing Cube's "Once Upon a Time in the Projects", as well as more recent projects.
Chuck D has always shown the West love, especially with Cube's first album.
As for now...i dunno
-
Fat Joe(Movie with Mack 10, also featured on an E-40 album, and has worked with MC Ren.)
Treach(From SCC to Deathrow, he's been fucking with the West Coast for a long time.)
Redman(Just listen to the beats he used back in the day. Straight G-Funk. Has worked with Cypress plenty of times.)
Chino XL(Lives out here now. Worked with Xzibit, Tha Mexakinz, Crooked I, Planet Asia, Sly Boogy and grips more.)
Outlawz(Stay working in the Bay.)
These are really the only artists who show REAL love to the West. Jay-Z I wouldn't count because he only worked with Dre and Snoop. WOW! ::) 50 is
only working with Snoop, that's not really showing love. I wouldn't count that as "Love."
Actually, if you see a pattern here, most of the artists from the East that show the West love are from Jersey.
-
i dont know who the fuck said jay-z shows love to the west, but 50 is constantly making references to california in general. not to mention the fact that he actually works with dpg, a group that the east coast has seemingly dreaded for years.
but when it comes to actually working with a VARIETY of westcoast rappers, it'd probably go to busta or fabolous. as an artist, i think fab is wack as fuck. i simply just cant get into any of his songs, including a lot of his non-singles. but i give props where its due... fab tries to help out a whole lotta west coast artists whom you'd think he wouldnt
the majority of the other rappers mentioned thus far dont show love to the west, unless u consider working with one rapper from cali showing love.
-
you guys are forgetting the most important song of all time as far as this goes:
"if i gotsta choose a coast i gotsta choose the east,
i live out there so dont go there
but that dont mean a nigga cant rest in the west
see some nice breasts in the west"
Notorious B.I.G. - Going Back To Cali
-

i agree entirely
-

Plenty of cats out there has worked with the DPG. Lost Boyz did it. Hell, you say Jay doesn't show love, but he's worked with DPG a few times, so what's the difference? There is none. Making references to Cali doesn't mean you're showing love. Remember who signed him. He's doing what Dre wants to hear. Very few cats out that way show REAL love to the West Coast. Treach, Chino, Outlawz and Redman are the few that really show love. That's why I support all Jersey artists, except wack ass Joe Budden.

ISNT CHUCK D FROM OAKLAND????
-

there is. jay did like one song with them. 50 wants to do a whole album with them while he is still at the top of his game.

Jadakiss
Fat Joe
Gangstarr
Redman
Erick Sermon
Biggie
Chino XL
-
Canibus! 'Cuz he builds the "Horsemen" together with Ras Kass and Kurupt. Killah Priest is also a member, but he isn't from the Left Coast.
-
Fabolous people, Fabolous. Y'all needta include dude on your lists.
-
We're saying all these rappers, but what about Xzibit ???
-
Uh...Xzibit is considered Westcoast himself.
-
Kool Keith.......
-
Uh...Xzibit is considered Westcoast himself.

True, but Pac, Ice Cube, and Kurupt were all born somehwere other than the Left Coast. Besides IMO Detroit isn't considered East Coast anywayz.
-
Where was Cube born?
-
Where was Cube born?

well, 2pac was born in new york
i don't remember about ice cube, but i read it in the inlay of his peace disc
-
still born and raised in detroit.
LMAO. Why do these people swear Detroit is East Coast!? It's not in the Northeast, so it's not East Coast. It's not below the Mason Dixie, so it's not the South. It's not even close to the Pacific, so it's not West Coast. Hence, it's a Midwest City.
I never heard of Ice Cube being born on the East.
Ice-T was born on the East, so you might got that confused.
-
Detroit = MID-WEST smart guy...
And it don't matter where a person came outta they mama...it's where U were raised...because that's what U are and that's tha picture U portray...
-
I'm pretty sure Cube was born in Chicago, right? I could be wrong.
-
I'm pretty sure Cube was born in Chicago, right? I could be wrong.
I never heard that. But, either way, that's not East Coast.
Do you people look at maps? Chicago is smack in the middle of the U.S. It's Midwest.

I just read it and I didn't see him being from the East mentioned at all. Maybe it's because I got the "Peace Disc" on cassette.

When did I say Chicago was East Coast? Mauzip stated that Xzibit was from the East, and then I said Detroit ain't considered East Coast. I also said that Pac, Cube, and Kurupt and Scoe ain't from Cali, but never said they was all from the East.

Look at the title homeboy. And, you'll understand.
-
This has 'east' in the title, we should move it before the entire board structure breaks down and anarchy prevails....
-

And? I listed Fabolous, Busta, and 50. I never listed any dudes that wasn't from the East Coast. I don't get wha'chu gettin' at or tryin' to say?
-
blah, detroit is in the east of america
"Born and raised in Detroit" is a little exaggerated:
Aged 0-9 in Detroit (Midwest)
9-17 in New Mexico (Westcoast/Midwest)
17- 29 (etc.) in California (Westcoast)
That's not what I would call a Eastcoast rapper.. ::)
-
9-17 in New Mexico (Westcoast/Midwest)
Southwest. It's not West Coast, because it's not near the coast. But, it's not South. It's Southwest.
-
Haha. So Suge was tellin' the truth when he said Xzibit was from Mexico.
