Suga Free Show...Review - September 29, 2003 By : SGV
This past Friday, 9-27-03, was one of many shows Suga Free is doing before his album drops this year. BET Uncut staple, Mighty Casey opened for Suga Free. I liked his show, but the rest of the crowd didn't. Poor guy got booed after his second song. After many unorganized happenings, Suga Free came out. He did Angry Enough, I'd Rather Give You My Bitch, Why Ya Bullshittin'. As well as his verses from Hand & Hand and Down, Down, Down. He let his boy, Red bust a quick verse. I must say, it was dope. I'll be checking for this cat more often. During the set, they played the late great Mausberg's Shut Up and did a tribute to him. Suga Free and three of his homies put their mics high and put them together. Very powerful feeling. To close the show he did his verse from Do I Love Her. Overall he had a tight set, but the set up wasn't very professional. The sound was cutting out often, so sometimes you couldn't hear him rapping. But, either way, he tore the club down.
