Title: 50 Cent to release sophmore effort in June 04'
Post by: PLANT on October 05, 2003, 11:29:46 AM: Well there was news from GUnitworld.com today that 50's next album will be coming out in June 04. I couldnt copy n paste the article for some reason, and Im not going to write the whole thing out.

Basically it just said that his album "GRODT" is still selling 40,000 a week and is well over 6x Platinum now, and after Banks drops in March, 50's is dropping another album.

Would be dope if 50 kept his collabo's to almost none.
I figure with his G-Unit lp & his recent collabo's with various artist's,
Peep's are prob tired of his guest shot's and wanna hear some solo 50 shitt!!
(that's how I feel)
1 or 2 spot's at the most....(Not Obie or Snoop)
come on 50.....lol

And of course the required (Manditory by Shady/Aftermath) Eminem spot..... ;D

their style made him....like a baby boy.
In no way can 50 ever touch that, even if he sells 50 mill....lol

Anyways, for those of you wondering, in my Lloyd Banks "Mo' Money In The Bank" mixtape insert it sais 50's "GRODT" is almost at 10 mil worldwide.

He's got a major label backing him up and several connections to other power figures, like Snoop and P.Diddy - to me it's quite surprising that we haven't heard a 50/Puffy collabo yet, especially since Puffy's love for the man is obvious.

But what comes to Buck's prediction of 1.5 mil for G-unit in its first week - not gonna happen. Sure, it's gonna push major units since now the audience knows what 50 and G-unit are all about and how talented they all are, but 1.5 mil in its first week? C'mon! ::) 50 sold unusually lot in his first week since EVERYBODY was SO hyped about him and his album. The hype G-unit has compared to what 50 had is almost nonexistant in my eyes, at least for now...

I'd agree, but then again if it ends up being marketed as equivalent to a new 50 album, that would be a different story in my eyes. Plaster 50 predominantly on the cover and posters, add a sticker to the front of the CD saying "The Shady debut of 50 Cent's crew..." and maybe a million a week isn't so out of the question...? time will tell.
