so, i have a car.
it's a 1985 Holden Calais VK, V6 reconditioned 202 engine, with a nice 2 inch exhaust, extractor, 4 7x10 speakers with a shmick CD player, leather interior, already been lowered a few inches, and the tyres on it are fat as fuck. No rims on it as of yet, but i got plans for it.... only cost me $1,999... which is pretty fuckin cheap considering what it came with. I don't have photos of it as of yet, but the pic below is the same year model so it gives u an idea of what it looks like. btw my one is silver.

what happened to buying that FTO??
-
i test drove one, it felt very 'big' for what it was, felt like it was all plastic and just didnt 'feel' it that much... also facts like no mitsi garages near by, and that its got high maintenance costs... german cars are reliable, i work right by a VW garage so its easy to put this one in there (i liked that having a vw before..).. so many plus's to a more sensible (lol...) car :)
-
^never been in an FTO, doesnt sound as good as it seems.... yeh VW's are cool, they go surprisingly hard for how small they are, especially Golf's.
-
yeah the only thing with the golf is... its got ESD which is kinda nice... but you really have to push it to make the car slide, coz the ESD stops you sliding, i used to be able to chuck the polo around a bit.. i've only managed to slide the golf once so far.. the esd is good tho coz theres no torque steer when u plant ya foot.. needs it otherwise it'd put you in the hedge. think i made a more sensible/practical choice in the end :)

didnt know heaps on wheels where still popular.
N e way TJ dont you need sumit to handle that Aussie terrain?

Peugeot
Scion are dope what are you talking about....they got some Scion is Cali now.
Fords are shitty.

^ real nice looking cars, I've driven the normal version... the pedals are really really close together, hated it, think u need lil feet to drive one of them..
oh and french cars arent renowned for reliability or build quality.. they're generally a bit rattly
