Actually not...spectacular is what it is, spectacular, amazing, on another level, groundbreaking, etc.....bangin is what it is, bangin, head noddin, hits hard, somethin i'll be bumpin for a minute....u see the diff?

You're the man J.........Keep em' comin!!!

the beat and style remind me of OG WSC...but the lyrics kinda trip me out...they went from gangbangin and violence to cars in the garage and being flyer than grandma...i hope lyrically the rest of the cd is better...the beat was dope as hell though and cubes flow is dope as always.

I know a lot of people probably don't like him, but this is just ANOTHER verse that proves to me that Ice Cube is on Cruise Control. He can spit shit hotter than pretty much anything on the radio like he's reciting his ABC's. I wish he'd just get motivated one good time on us, he could easily be the greatest ever if he put his heart into it.

yea i agree...he's got so much talent...if he could seriously make some classic shit...not classic like "it was a good day" or "bow down" classic...but something that would seriously just blow your mind he could be on top for the rest of his days.

^^ Yup. What I'm saying is, even shit like this, that to me ain't nothing special, is fuckin' HOT and you can tell he didn't even spend any time on it. I started noticing this shit when he was on that B.I.G. album that came out after he died, and he had that awesome verse where he was giving Biggie props, then I heard somewhere he spent like 30 minutes total to record the whole thing, it was just off the top of his head, and this is while he's busy making movies and shit. I think he's at the point now where he's just happy, got millions in the bank, he's older, he's not mad at anybody anymore, he's having a good time, and he just frankly don't give a shit if he goes down as the greatest, he's just doing what he feels like doing. You take a song like "Record Company Pimpin'" off the peace disc. Everybody said that album sucked, but they're full of shit. For a CUBE album it sucked, but that shit was nice from start to finish. Listen to "Record Company Pimpin" that's tighter flow wise than about anything coming out now, and was just a lil' concept song on the end of a album nobody listened to.

thats actually my favorite cube album & song...the lyrics and concept of that song were amazing.

^^ Can't believe nobody ever mentions it, I heard it again the other day, and was thinking how tight it is...like I've said before, usually I don't even get into songs that try to be deep, etc. but the way he did that one was just intelligent, in a plain way. His command of the game is amazing...

its a good track. i kinda like cube's verse
i think yall are expecting too much from this album.
bow down came out a long time ago.
if u expect something like it ur jus going to be disappointed
im glad theyre still not rapping about the same stuff as bow down coz times have changed and they have changed.
just keep an open mind. its gonna be a gr8 cd.

when you have three of the best rappers on the westcoast in one album and they already made a classic...its not asking too much for another...times havent changed that much...there are still rappers rapping about the same stuff now as they did back then...its just now most focus more on how much money they spent on their new watch.

Well one of the main reasons for the original album was to unite and rebuttle against the east coast. Now all of these artists work with the east coast and it's no beef, so they can't rap about the same thing.

yea but just cuz you dont wanna diss the eastcoast doesnt mean teh only thing left to rap about is the cars in your garage...thats like me rapping about having a big sandwich

he rapped for one verse, i mean shit this ain't gonna be a bling bling record, and the verse he spit was pretty tight, it wasn't like "i got 24's on my feet, OH YEAH" type shit
-
Sounds pretty good from what I heard. But it's hard to judge a tracc without hearing he other 2 verses and hook.
-
thanks for the hook up lil j
hard to tell from the snippit. sounds aight, nothing special, but not wack.
-
I 100% agree with Trauma.
-
Shits hot!
Huge props to Lil J. Can't wait for this record!

dude he was talking about his cars and how he is flyer than his grandma ::) ...not much difference there.

LOL...
Do you really think that a song called: "Get Ignit" is gonna have deep or political lyrics?

my lord! i didnt ask for deep or political...they've never been deep or political...am i the only one who sees that westside connection has changed from gangbanging and death to cars and grandma? god damn!

I'd say WSC got pretty deep and politcal regarding the treatment of the westcoast by eastcoast magazines and general disrespect from that area.
Lets look at this track and take some quote to really see if they've really changed from "gangbanging and death to cars and grandma" like you've said... (half of this is from memory so sorry if they aren't all correct)
"Aint no secrect we put it down in front of ya / with a deep cartel from cali to columbia"
"I can double up twice with them thangs / put her on the plane with them strapped tight to her frame / fuck it, even move it on a bus or a train / Mack dime the dope man pushin dust of the cane"
"I'm so cold with it it's like ice in my veins / knee deep in the game, put a price on your brain"
"I'm still pullin on a cuban with a cup full of 'yac"
"Zoned out with the candy Brougham out / rag on my M.... with they brains blown out"
"Ain't not remedy for these penetentary tendencies"
"Fuck with dub and I'll knock your french brains out"
"Gettin it, pussy I'm hittin it, drinking till I'm belegirint, turn this up and watch dub get ignit"
Call me stupid, but that shit looks pretty hardcore to me.

ok stupid ;D j/k...actually i think you proved me wrong...maybe they havent changed as much as i thought...i guess i just kinda payed attention to ice cubes verse more than the rest...thanks for typin up that stuff...i probably woulda just said fuck it this is wack without that...thanks.

Cool cool...
Cube's verse was a little pop, still hot, but not that old "Gangsta, Killa, Dopedealer" type shit. I think that Mack 10's and WC's shit made up for it tho.

now that i read that i agree with you
-
WC ripped this beat to pieces...
-
The beat is tight...I don't really like the lyrics though.
-
Shit is still fresh to def. Bangin track.

disappointing album

disappointing album
Yep, atleast that's how I felt when this CD first dropped. I haven't heard this in years though & my opinion could change after another listen.
-
When it came out I enjoyed it, then it got put on the shelf for years. not too long ago i listened to it, stand out tracks are "You Gotta Have Heart", "Ganges Nation", "Call 9-1-1", "Terrorist Threats"... "Lights Out" is good but I prefer the version on Ghetto, Gutter &Gangsta Shit
