i know this movie is relatively unknown...but its fuckin dope...Edward Norton is a great actor (as everyone knew from fight club)...but in this one he really takes the cake...he has about a 6 or 8 minute long sililoquy (if u could call it that) where he argues with himself and says fuck the world basically...its probably one of the most amazing scenes ive ever seen in a movie...if you havent seen this shit make sure you go atleast rent it. and it has rosario dawson in it...god damn shes fine :o

Props for bringing this up homie... I'm just reading the book it was based on for the second time - highly recommended. It's by David Benioff if you're interested ;)
The film was amazing - I enjoyed it more than any of the 'blockbusters' I've seen this year; it takes good film-making to make the audience feel for the characters when most of them are fuck-ups - props to Spike. Looking forward to its DVD release in the UK.. whenever that is :-\

i loved the movie too. Me and my friend rewinded that monologue where he hates on everyone in NYC like 2 or 3 times...its just so good.

thats the coolest shit i've ever seen...i love the end of that "no...fuck you montgomery brogan...fuck you"

yea, definitly an incredible movie. its very deep and power. The book is even better, but spike lee did a great job with the movie and edward norton was perfect for his role, like he always is. I loved the remix of "white lines" during the club scene, that song is dope, some classic old school rap.

unfortunately, it was fuckin obvious that this movie stood under the influence of 9/11 ... and I hate this. I cant stand seein that many american flags in 2 hours...

wtf are you talkin about? this movie had nothing to do with 9/11...a fucking drug dealer was going to jail for a year and a 40 some year old dude wanted to fuck a 17 year old girl? how is that related to terorrism, the twin towers, osama bin laden, or anything else for that matter?!!!
-
lol please
there where like a hundred different american flags during the movie.
besides you saw things dedicated to fallen firemens etc.
when they looked out of francis' apartement there was the place where the towers collapsed
even on the DVD you got a extra option called "ground zero" related to that.
etc etc etc, I wont go on.
sure I FUCKIN KNOW the story isnt dedicated to the 9/11 issue. god dammit.
but its tottally obvious that the movie is influenced by 9/11.

if you seriously dislike this movie because it has a bunch of american flags in it and it shows the rubble of the twin towers you've got some issues...i doubt anyone in here other than you even noticed that there were a lot of flags...and who cares? there was great acting, a great storyline, and a killer monologue. and of course its influenced...for one...it was made right around that time, two, its set in new york!
-
1. I dont dislike the movie. I like it. but... that was one thing about the movie I didnt like.. so fuckin what?
2. "i doubt anyone in here other than you even noticed that there were a lot of flags..."n shit...
well.. that's the sad part!
3. "and of course its influenced..." YEA SNIATCH THAT'S ALL I SAID IN THE FIRST PLACE... and THX, but I know the reasons too!
-
2. "i doubt anyone in here other than you even noticed that there were a lot of flags..."n shit...
well.. that's the sad part!
why is that sad? because we actually payed attention to the movie and not the scenery they chose to put in it? thats not sad at all...thats good...the fact that we can actually pay attention to the acting and the storyline instead of going all A.D.D. and getting off track every 4 seconds to look at a flag shows that maybe we have a little bit more of an attention span...

lol, save your dignity and, most important, your fuckin soul.
I forgive you!

to sum up: I was right in the point that the movie is influenced by 9/11, but you misunderstood it, but in the end we both fortunately like the movie and had fun watchin it.

True, he's one of the most capable actores in the industry right now imo (his role in The Heist was good as hell.)
