this track is amazing..probably one of the best ones from the Re-Up compilation..I didnt really like it when i heard it for the first time because I didnt really pay that much attention to the lyrics...its amazing the way he wrote & made up that billboard story...i thought the beat was average at first but when you focus on the lyrics you start feelin it
for those who havent heard it, its about Ras Kass going #1 on Billboard charts as a no-name with his 1st album and then he's rappin about his success & stuff he's gettin & everything that comes with it. then he's puttin out album number 2 with big budget, big production, big features & video and it flops.....very creative song
there aint no west without r.a.s

I ain't feelin' the beat at all.

The beat is barely above average, but te concept and song are great. Props to ras kass and to Lil Jay for recognizing a DOPE song

Agreed, one of my fave Ras tracks. I still gotta find me a copy of Re-Up.

Ras Kass have a lot of dope lyrical tracks, but with horrible beats..

I agree 100%.

If you like this track, d/l 'It's All Bad' by Chino XL, off his Here To Save You All album. It's a similar concept, but better executed and with a doper beat.
