Title: Rod Roddy dead...Breast/Colon cancer

LOS ANGELES -- Rod Roddy, the flashy-dressed announcer on ''The Price is Right'' whose booming, jovial voice invited lucky audience members to ''Come on down!'' for nearly 20 years, died Monday. He was believed to be 66.

Mr. Roddy, who suffered from colon and breast cancer, died at Century City Hospital, according to his longtime agent, Don Pitts. He had been hospitalized for two months.


 :o Damn...that sucks breast cancer for a dude :P

That's horrible, another great television personality dead.  I used to love the price is right when I was a kid.

Man, This Sucks....One Of My Dreams Was To Have Rod Say My Name And Say "COME ON DOWN, YOUR THE NEXT CONTESTANT ON THE PRICE IS RIGHT!"...Man Man MAn....I Even Remember the way he said the address to the show, "ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS SEND A SELF ADRRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE, INCLUDING THE NUMBER OF TICKETS AND DATE YOU WISH TO ATTEND, MAIL THEM ALL TO TICKETS THE PRICE IS RIGHT, 1700 BEVERLY Blvd. LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA 9 Double 0 3 6, "!OK BOB!""....AND THE WAY HE SOUNDED OFF THE SHOW " THIS IS ROD RODDY, SPEAKING FOR THE PRICE IS RIGHT, A MARK GOODSON TELEVISION PRODUCTION......

I used to laugh at his jackets back when I would watch it when I was bein babysitted in the 80s. RIP
