He's said it numerous times lately (on camera), i think he's giving us one more season to prove to him that we can compete in Europe, hopefully we will, especially with Van Bommel and *maybe* (although unlikely) Trezegeut on the way.

this is good news but imo only if he signs a new contract. if he doesnt he can walk away in two years and well lose 30 million quid.
Now he can concentrate on provein to everyone that he is by far the best midfielder in the premership!
