Post by: Smoke on October 30, 2003, 09:18:55 AM
Yo! I have a question for y'all experts!! Is it possible to make subtitles (from 0) for DivX's or m2v's? And How? I mean which program do i have to use?

I want to translate some hip-hop videos for my homies and my girlfriend, but i just wanna know if it's possible and how can i do it. Thanx in advance.

yes you can
It' reaaal easy
Just download a subtitle from www.ondertiteling.nl

To use it as standard
Name it the same as the avi file
now open the text file and change the times and subtitles so it goes along wit the movie
It's only possible wit  divx(avi)
It'll take along tiem for a whole movie though

But is it possible to make subtitles from 0? Not just translating the OG english version of the subtitle into my language, but making it for a DVD who doesnt have OG subtitles, or for a clip (avi) or music video (i can convert it to avi) who doesnt have OG subtitles? Is it too long? (let's say for a music video)
