Y'all need to cop this album, MONTELL JORDAN "Life after DEF". This is definitely the r&b record of the year.
The man's back with a quite up-tempo album, his first outta DEFSOUL. He's somehow come back to his roots and sounds a little more westcoast than he did in his previous albums (but not as much westcoast as his debut "This is how we do it"). It kinda has that dirty-south/west coast influence all over the party tracks. They're club bangers, no doubt.
Not being with the money making machine that is DefSoul anymore, this album will probably be overlooked as it wont have the proper promotion. But if you like r&b I recommend it to you, check it out.

Once upon a time is the fucking JAM. Montell is inconsistent when it come to albums, but he drops some nice singles.

yea montell is still the shit, i been meanin' 2 check this out my connection is slow as fuck, some1 told me to check out a joint called "Motells Anthem" that was released overseas or somethin'... "This Is How We Do It" was the joint back in the day...

If it was on this forum it was probably me. That song is banging, produced by Focus and featuring WC. It's from his 5th LP "Montell Jordan" released only in Europe.
