While Jay-Z's The Black Album has already hit the net via MP3, Jiggaman pulls another "the streets couldn't wait" publicity stunt, moving "Black Friday" up to November 14th, rather than the original date of Nov. 28th. Having listened to this album, first impressions around the office are great - definitely better than the ho-hum feeling Blueprint 2 left us with. But more on that later in the column....

;D I'm having a real shitty week at work... this news has made my day. Haven't heard even a snippet of any track so far, not even the single, and that's how I want to keep it... Anyone know for sure if the UK date has come forward?
-
I heard a rumor that they gonna have 2 bonus tracks on that shit...and supposely dre produced one of em :o

I doubt that, the RNS is the retail, and Jigga can't change his mind, cuz the albums is sent to the plants and being pressed..
It was supposed to be 12 tracks, but ended up with 14, so there's your extra 2..
-
...the RNS is the retail...
Probably it isn't. They scanned the cover and on the backside you can't see any serial-number, recording-information, executive producers, etc. Looks more like a promo'. So I'm still hopin' that the rumours about the two bonus-cuts are true.

that's because it's a "BLACK" album.... do you know a concept behind that?
-
nah....I dunno about that^
They still need serials no matter what...

this ain't no black album. has a single ::) has track names ::) has a cover ::) has promotion ::)

Yeah, that would be a stroke of genius; forgetting to photoshop the serials & tags, so that Def Jam/Interscope could trace the CD back to who/where it leaked. ::)

can someone post a link to the full mp3 download of this cd...that would be dope, peace.

i was thinking the same thing. this is just another major hip hop release for jigga. It isnt the traditional concept of a black album at all, even though I assume that was the idea at first. Shame really, i think it would have been a really big statement to do that in this 'media coverage sells more records than quality music' era.

Um... do you know what a barcode is? All CD's need them to be sold, and they can't be tracked back to you, because they all have the same # on them. They don't print individual serial numbers on the back of CD's, just the number of the album so the computer at the stores can assign a price to it.
I'm not saying this ain't retail, I'm just saying they couldn't trace it by the barcode, lol. They're all the same number!

Yeah, I guess that would explain why they more often that not, edits/blurs it out ? ::)
