Another NEW 213 track "Absolutely".........up @ http://www.westcoast2k.net
:-\ :-X ::)
this track is below average. this is gettin ridiculous, the only 213 song i liked so far is "find a way" and "so fly" (which wasnt even a real song btw) ::)
*hits close & opens the black album*
-
I kinda like it.....It sounds like a party track for sure.
Id like to hear more of the song tho before I judge.
Thanks for the hookup Jizzle

This is what happens when you keep holding back albums promised YEARS ago. Just check what's happening to Crooked I. He's already almost played out and he doesnt even have an album out yet. Look at what happened with Tha Row Killa DVD. 1 year of dealay and nobody gave a fuck about it. Now this 213 album? Shit Warren G started the promotion in 2001!! SHIT DOESNT WORK LIKE THAT! They had to release it just after they made that Game Dont Wait single, maybe with Dre working on it too. Man Dr.Dre is smart!! 50 Cent was the man? Well.. Dre signed him and he made him an album in a moment! Album out: album n.1! THIS IS HOW SHIT HAS TO WORK! To delay and delay and delay albums.. this thing makes ppl say FUCK IT. Plus i have to admit that the 213 are not the same they used to be back in the days. Snoop aint the same, and he's the most important one of the three, cause he's the only real MC. Too bad, i'm not optimistic about this album. Do you agree, Jay?
-
naw naw naw i like this, its aight
the newer 213 tracks, Mary Jane, We Wanna Ride, Find A Way, Absolutely, even Sunny Dayz
they all got that DPG/Doggystyle party sounding feel. Something Jellyroll would produce, i like that.
-
This is definatly a party track. The beat is hype!
-
Man the truth is that back in the days they were a real group, friends who worked together. Now they have to find a free day in a month to meet each others in a studio. Feel me? They just have those days when they go to the studio, they make 6-7 tracks, then bye bye till the next day. Back in the days they spent the whole day in the studio! Making funky shit. It's all different. They cant be the same. It's like making a DPGC album now. Or making Doggystyle 2 now. It's impossible, IMO! That's the point. They can release 300 tracks, but shit just aint the same. But oh, let's wait for the official album, maybe it'll be good. I'll buy it for sure, it's still 213. Legends. But still.. ::)
-
lol, we're talkin about the same song right?
-
Anyway what's a list of the recent 213 tracks? So Fly, Mary Jane, We Wanna Ride, Find A Way, Absolutely and Sunny Dayz? Is it this one?
-
i don't even remember them doing many songs together alone as a group. They'd be featured on eachothers songs but then someone else would be on it too, like Kurupt on "Ain't No Fun"
-
lol, we're talkin about the same song right?
;D
-
Anyway what's a list of the recent 213 tracks?
Run Up On U
Im Fly
Sunny Dayz
Mary Jane
We Wanna Ride
Find A Way
Absolutely
all of them in order, well the ones i have.
I haven't and can't listen to ""Find A Way" cuz i need to download shit cuz its in ".rm".
i don't even know what that shit is
-
Thanx. I'll make a quick EP. ;)

I have it......Its prolly the best one so far IMO.....Shit is funky as hell....And theres mad instruments in the beat too! Holla at me if you want it.
-
i'm actually feelin this shit, snoop sounds pretty tight tellin a little story, and the beat is different but funky..........it seems like nate's hook might be tight, but i haven't heard the whole thing so the song might actually be shity, from what what ive heard though this song actually sounds more radio friendly than "find a way"
-
It's not the worst of the ones they have released so far, but sadly that doesn't say much.
Nate Dogg's chorus on there sounds promising, but gotta hear more of it..
Btw, this sounds old, Snoop doesn't flow like that nowadays..
-
not as good, however it is 1000000000000x better than that god aweful, should be banned from releasing it, "Sunny Dayz" song
-
damn i love the beat & as jome said nates hook sounds promising but snoop came whack as ever...my ears are still bleeding from that bullshit...if he were to re-record that track and improve his flow it might be worthy enough to be on the album.
-
God damn all these 213 cuts succ badly.
-
I liked it, I can The kalidascope sound getting a tad annoying after a while, but I liked it!
Lil J for President!!!!
-
I don't like the song till the moment Nate comes in

I agree, i m def feelin this, should be a great single imo (find a way is dope , but just not the right single), snoops flow is nice on this one.

There are two kinda people in this forum: westcoast lovers and 213 haters.
They rep their affiliation with each post they do. Now, what side you on? 8)
BTW.- The track sounds nice, Snoop flows old school, kinda reminds me of Slick Rick.

Oh fo sho! I was just jokin, I understand people may not like it. But there is a whole lot of 213 haters in here that just hate on everything they do because they believe they shoulda done it years ago, cause they believe it'll be wack just for the fact of being 213, regardless of the actual quality of the product.
-
DaIllest have you actually read my posts or you are just talking in general? Cause homie you have to understand that there are a lot of people who doesnt hate on the 213, but that aint just feeling their latest commercial moves. Feel me? To be a fan doesnt mean to love EVERYTHING your fav rapper/producer does. No. That's just not being true with yourself. A real fan loves things when they are well done, not just cause a rapper you like is doing them. Just cause i dont like a song or an album or a move, it doesnt mean i hate on 213. It's cause i love them TOO MUCH. Feel me? Too much to appreciate them working at 20% of their potential, or not handling their shit in the right way. I'm sure Lil Jay LOVES them like i do. You cant really call me and Lil Jay just "haters", cause we aint. We're just not feeling them for some moves they're doing or they've done. This Death Row vs DPGC fans, Snoop fans vs Snoop haters, 2Pac vs Snoop Dogg fans bullshit is good for SOME ppl, not for everybody. It's not like that for me and Lil Jay, i'm sure about it. If you think that this 'Absolutely' track can be the first single for a CLASSIC 5 MICS album, then we just have different opinions, cause i dont think so. And Lil Jay doesnt think so. And it's not because it's 213 doing it, but because 213 have done probably my fav tracks EVER!! And this one doesnt even came close to them! Ok it's fresh and everything, but.... feel me? Anyway like i said i'll still buy the album, that's not the point. But i want 100% quality shit from 213. They have a legacy to protect. A wack album will ruin their legacy just like some Snoop wack shit is ruining his legacy. IMO. That's all. And those tracks they've made in the past months just aint done at their 100% potential. So they're wrong.
-
Sounds like an O.K. song to me, in good quality it'll probably be average.
-
No doubt I'm feeling you Antonio. I just wanna say I wasnt talking about you (or anyone in particular) when I talked about haters and shit. It's just a whole aura of disappointing around this 213 stuff.
I am a big fan of Warren G specially and of Nate Dogg too. I've never liked Snoop that much, but it is ok. The point is, since they started talking about dropping an album (I mean when it became something serious, maybe when they did "Run up on you") there a whole lot of people talking shit about the project with no real base. Just trash talking, I am sure you have noticed too. I was one of many posting about "this album better be good", "i hope snoop does not fuck it up with eastside producers", and that kinda crap. I still think the same way, but I feel its better to give them some kind of trust, as they've released a lot of music I love in the past years. I will believe the 213 album will be dope until the very day I buy it, hear it and have a new opinion. I hope that opinion is "the album is bangin" and if not i'll come back hear and say "i dont what 213 have done because this and because that".
I think it's just pointless to talk shit about a project which is unknown to us, as we've only heard a few tracks that we're obviously rushed and made only for the hype (run up on you, fly, sunny dayz). I will support this 213 project until the day it comes out and, if i dont like it, i'll still say it. Expectations are high, but that shouldnt make us be that hard on the tracks they come up with, cause maybe we're expecting perfection and the album will be nowhere near perfection.
I'd just like to repeat this shit i said is not pointed at you Antonio, cause I understand you may not feel one or several of the tracks they've released lately. I think some of them are average. I just needed to say that shit cause I feel this kind of negative vibe around this album. And I know for a fact there are 213 haters on this board.
Big up!
-
Yeah homie. I feel you, and I've noticed it too. I'll give them a chance so big that i'll probably finish to preorder the album before it's even out on the net! I just think it's not the right moment for them to release this cd. They had to release it in 1999, just after Game Dont Wait. Cause ppl loved that track, and Warren G talked about 213, and ppl was going crazy about that project, anticipating it like hell. Now it's almost 2004, and the latest release aint making ppl say "Oh shit!! I want this album badly!". Feel me? 213 fans like me and you will buy the album no matter what, but i'm talking about the other buyers who listen to radio's. I dont like the commercial move, not the album. Feel me? But i can say the same about Crooked I. I'm not hating on him or his album, but i'm just hating on the fact that the album is being pushed back already 20 times! Wrong commercial move. The quality of the 213 tracks is totally a different thing. I'm not feeling those ones, but hopefully the "real" ones will be better. Pz.
-
Weak, as all the new 213 tracks have been.
