Title: 95' Death Row Performance review (Source Awards dvd)
Post by: TobyTizzle on November 07, 2003, 03:59:08 PM
Hey, got the Best of the Source Awards dvd yesterday...

They have a whole section on Bad Boy vs. Death Row, where they show the entire Death Row perforamnce from the 1995 awards which goes like this:

Dre - Keep their Heads Ringin
DPG - What Would U Do?
Lady of Rage - Affro Puffs
Nate Dogg - Aint No Fun
Sam Sneed - U Better Recognize
DJ Quik - Dollaz n Sense
Snoop - Murder was the Case

It goes for about 10 minutes in total, and its awesome...U see Lil Cease and Lil Kim in the crowd, and they are enjoying it.

Then they have the entire Bad Boy performance, which went something like this:

Craig Mack - Flavor in Your Ear
Faith Evans - She Used to Love Me (the Bad Boy crew go crazy in the crowd lol)
Total & Biggie - Cant U C (the crowd goes wild)
Bigge & Lil Kim - Players Anthem
Biggie - One More Chance (rmx)

During the Bad Boy set u see the Lady of Rage enjoying their act...

They show when Snoop won an award (presented by 3 ppl, one being Puffy) that Snoop and Puffy have a big hug...and Daz. Kurupt, Nate etc all give Puffy love. Also during DPG's performance Kurupt gives Biggie a shout out. And Snoop thanks the crowd for the East/West love...but then goes on to do that whole "The east coast dont love Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg?" thang...

They show some footage of Daz, Kurupt and Nate from the 94' show, all G'd up...

During the Suge's famous "if u dont want the executive producer...alllll in the videoooos" speech, he says '2Pac keep ya guards up homie'

This dvd kinda highlights the fact that Suge was eager for a West/East beef, and that the actual artist were all cool with one another, kinda sad how it all turned out...

The dvd has a live performance of 'Out on Bail' a song by 2Pac from 94'...its dope, Hitemup.com have the song up for d/l I believe.

This dvd is a must have of both Death Row/Bad Boy fans, heeeeaps of cool footage and live performances...and theres all shit from Wu Tang, JD, Busta, TLC, Treach n more... only prob is Benzino hosts it :'(

Hope this mini review helps some of u

P.S U get a free 'Unsigned Hype' dvd, which follows 8 cats lives and shows them battle...a West Coast kid 'Domani' sounds dope and was in the studio w/ Dre n Mel Man, Im sure I've heard of his name b4...someone refresh my memorie?

Toby Tizzle - we never did get along, but good looking out man, I've already pre-ordered the title, but it hasn't arrived yet - I only bought it cause I knew there would be the out on bail track, but had no idea it tried to protray Suge as the bad guy

nah I didnt mean they go out of their way to portray Suge as the bad guy, but u can clearly see the Death Row/Bad Boy artists getting along and showing love...some members at tha row forum believe it doesnt matter if they liked each other, and that they should all follow Suge's lead...

I guess thats one of the only things I respect about Snoop, he never really got into the bad Boy Death Row thing, even with the pressure of Pac and Suge in his ear, coz he respected Puffy, Biggie etc.

Once again, this dvd was well worth the money

Is he Damani from Inglewood who was on Kurupt's "Hate on me?" I remember they had an article on one of the related sites to this one.

You should try and rip that part of the dvd and  put it online.  Cause the source sucks, and I don't want to spend money on any of their shit.  Any one got this performance in SVCD?
