like why do you think the rappers you think are good? and the same with bad?
-
a good rapper has good lyrical content, good production, not a lot of guest appearances but when they do have them they are good guest appearances, isnt constantly going "fuck this fuck that blah blah blah cuss cuss cuss"...and most importantly...good flow/delivery
a bad rapper is one who can flow but has wack ass lyrics...as in they only rap about violence, money, & bitches (50 cent, the big tymers, nelly, etc...)...they have 3 or 4 artists that are on half their album...(g-unit, st. lunatics, all of cash money, etc...) and they think that in lyrics you have to swear to have them be good lyrics (eamon - fuck it...good example of a horrible singer...funny ass song...im gonna buy his album just because i feel it'll make me laugh...but he's horrible)

it all depends on their music videos. If you got a cool video then you got my vote, otherwise I think you suck.

Question 1: Dre produces the songs

Isn't such a decision a little premature?Anyway, I think a rapper needs to have his CVF in balance (Content,Voice and Flow). The balance can be a little off, that's no problem as long as he/she doesn't depend too much on one aspect of his CVF.
In a bad rapper the balance is totally off,or each part is wack.

is it backpack friendly or not?! lol
i dont know, i mean, Quasimoto as a rapper sucks, but his music is amazing...hmmm, i really cant tell, im really lyrical, but rawness and originality are important too

I hope you're joking. If not you're by far the biggest dickrider on this board.

The style, Beat, Flow and then the lyrics. Nobody is really interested into the lyrics after hearing a song for 2 or 3 times. (I think) After you heard that one sometimes you´ll get interested into the lyrics.
It´s about the first view like it is with the girls....

Actually I would say lyrics are a very important point, but 'cause English isn't the language I grew up with, it's often very difficult to listen to tracks that carefully, so that I'm able to understand the content (and even if I listen carefully, it's often still very difficult though). So for me the musical points are the most important (flow, voice, beats [in that order]).
But actually my favourite rapper is Canibus, mostly 'cause of his lyrics. So my theory isn't always correct though ;D
