And Strong Arm Steady are the new generation Group Home.
The way I see it is this:
Khalil & Chace In = Premo & Guru.
Phil Da Agony, Krondon & Mitchy Slick = Jeru, Lil Dap and the other cat.
Will affect Hip Hop in the same way? Probably not. But, they can try.
-
I'll second that.
-
chace is already a much better mc than guru, and khalil is on his way up (hes very consistent with his amazing production, but hasnt done quite enough for now)
-
i think 9th Wonder will be the next Primo
-
even though this is a good comparison of what the future may bring, i think self scientific is the west coast version of......
TALIB KWELI AND HI TEK
i mean both Khalil and Hi Tek's beats have that fresh sound to them, they sample some but not as much as Primo (9th Wonder is more like Primo then Khalil)
N E Ways is it DJ Khalil that produced a song on G Unit's new album??????? it says Khalil on the production credits ???

Yea, 9th Wonder is a new generation Premo. But, as far as legendary duo's are concerned, Self Science, IMO, is most like Gangstarr. Reflection Eternal ain't exactly legends yet.

Good comparison, although I disagree that Chace is a better emcee than Guru as Krazyie said.
And as far as 9th Wonder is concerned he's more of a next generation Pete Rock than a next generation Premo.

That's what I was thinking.
