it's fine for me....

but the movie is a trouble call to apple and the person complains about his battery not working after 18 months and if he can have a replacement.....well it happens to replace the battery costs more than the unit itself, so the guy is on a campaign to spreay paint all the i pod ads with his story

sounds about right.. if you let the battery run out 3 times (like a mobile phone) then it really starts losing its life

creative nomad jukebox is a better value, half the price of a 10gb ipod, you get 20gb of space and you can change+buy the batteries yourself

It's true, and that website is the reason why Apple cut 2/3 off the price for new batterys.
Of course, having half their ads all over New York sabotaged helped the process too.

I'm worried about my battery.  I average atleast 2 hours a day and I've drained it 3 or more times.

I'm pissed about the Creative Nomad Jukebox and the other clone too, which seem to be a better deal.  I guess I purchased the iPod at the wrong time.

the only thing that annoys me about the iPod is that you can't turn it off. it always goes into standby mode so the battery is always being used.

Apple told me that holding the play button only turns it into standby mode. ie: if you're not using it, it still uses up battery power
