Choose Danny Boys First Single! - December 3, 2003 By : Overseer
Death Row Records R&B star Danny Boy now has his own imprint, Platinum Pearl.
The first release is "Platinum Pearl presents... The Come Up" which was originally scheduled for a late Nov release. It was pushed back a little to add some finishing touches. (Danny's debut solo album will still drop on Death Row Records sometime in '04.)
Platinum Pearl introduces 2 new artists, Bobbi Blaq and Mic Booq. Both are featured heavily with Danny on the album. The LP has something for everyone, Party tracks, Slow Jams, Neo-Soul mixed with Hip-Hop.
Danny's official site is allowing us fans to decide which song we prefer to be the lead single from the two choices below:

I Like Believe In Me for the simple fact that the MC whoever it is, sounds a lot like a RAWKUSS style artist, non commercial and non westcoast gangsta. That MC sounds and reminds me of Talib Kweli... tight.
The other one is a little too Neo-Retro-Soul-Vibe for me!
Glad for Dannyboy that he's doing his thing, I hope he doesnt leave Deathrow ever, cause DB and ThaRow just has to always be, Ya know..

I vote for "Believe in me"
I think it will be a better choice for the first single even though I'm feeling "Killing me"

I like the second song a lot, at least Danny Boy's part. That other guy can't rap :-X
