well it's december and not much else is dropping, WSC, and maybe a tray deee bootleg. So what is your fav westcoast album?
Overall I thought it was a REALLY shitty year fro wc rap. Tha eastsidaz bootleg is my fav, followed by ecay uno, then wsc, then defari.
might as well do favorite mixtape too cause a shitload of them dropped. My favorite one was strong arm steady O-Dogg series vol. 1 and IV life's latest one.

Yup, very shitty indeed. I haven't bought very much at all, and most of the things I did buy were extremely disappointing (Dysfunktional Fam, Roscoe, etc)
My favorite is Yukmouth's Godzilla. A very polished album front to back. Lot of really good songs on there, definitely shoulda had more attention.
Unfortunately I don't get to hear any of the bootlegs so i cant comment on those. I also havent heard Hi-C, WSC or the Boo Ya Tribe so im sure those might be in the running.
Ohh honorable mention to the True Crime Soundtrack. Actually a very decent west coast compilation, which is very rare these days.

For me it's a tie between Hi-Life Hustle & Terrorist Threats. It ain't been too good from the west this year. Infact, it just hasn't been good. Period.

Imo there weren't too much good albums. There might be a lot of dope songs, but way too many filelrs on every damn album.
My favorite album of 2003:

f'real it was a sick year.
I couldn't find Paris at all though, heads have been waiting for that for awhile.
-
Weak, weak year for the west. I mean it looks like Westside Connection is the popular opinion here for westcoast album of the year and it is good but not great. Certainly the "westcoast album of the year" should be better than that.
-
E-A Ski - Past & Present
JT The Bigga Figga - Project Poetry
Forgot bout these, two VERY slept on albums. I really hope Ski's new album drops soon..
-
Aceyalone - Love & Hate or Brotha Lynch Hung - Lynch By Inch.
Lifesavas - Spirit In Stone, E-40 - Breakin Newz, Project Blowed - Good Brothers, all get honorable mentions.
-
Another thing. Are we really considering D.O.C.'s release West Coast? I mean, 6'2" held down all the tracks, he's from Dallas. I think that's a South release.
-
1. Hi-C - Hi-Life Hustle
2. Defari - Odds & Evens
3. WSC - Terrorist Threats
i'm not including the ES bootleg, hoping the album comes out and its better.
