Bought this second hand a few months ago. Didn't listen to it properly til earlier this week, and...
It sucks.
I know it's not a new album to discuss, but I'm so disappointed by it that I had to make a thread. I never heard their first album, but to go from a classic like Game Related to this is unbeliveable to me.
Too many of the beats sound like blatant attempts to cross over, like 'Say Dat Den', 'Gimmie Dat' and 'What You Gon Do About It'.
Oh yeah, and to completely rip off Tech 9's beat on 'Issues' is ridiculous. It's not a creative sample, they've just used the instrumental for fuck's sake.
Plus, there's barely any real mob shit on there. Shit, I could moan about this for daaaaays.
Can any knowledgable cat let me know if I've missed something here or whether this album is as wack as I think it is?? (I'm interested to hear SGV's views as an E-40 fan) From my viewpoint at the moment, 40 totally fucking dropped the ball on this one. Not even worth the fiver I paid for it >:(

Really, they waited way too long to make this. They should've followed up something as great as Game Related right away, but that's the thing. It's hard to follow up an album of that caliber. E-40 followed his classic with a solid ass album, but that's 40. 40 and B-La are always on point, IMO. It's Suga T and D-Shot who are on and off. But, that's not the point. The album was disapointing, considering it was the follow up to Game Related. Is it that bad? Well, it's average. The Click knows they fell off with that. I have a feeling they made the album for the sake of making it. You know what I mean? It sounded forced. Click albums always take years to make because they're always all over the place, it's rare that you get all 4 of them together. But, yea, I agree. Dissapointing.

sup Lord Funk, I agree with ya man, i paid £5 for this, and it was dissapointing, especially when compared to GAME RELATED.....
also i have a promo poster of the album, and it said MONEY ON MY MIND was gona be the first single (dope song produced by bosko, but it appeared on d shots album) that single woulda been so much better then SAY DAT DEN which is pretty much horrible..
ISSUES ripped off tech's beat, but c'mon so many other songs have blatantly used the same beat....was a dope track nonetheless, but FAMILY was my fave track....

im also a big 40 Water fan, and i was very dissapointed in this, especially after Game Related

It's Suga T and D-Shot who are on and off.
That reminds me... anyone into that C-L-I-C-K that hasn't heard Suga T's Paper Chasin' (4Eva Hustlin') needs to find that shit right now.
THAT'S how it should sound :)
