I dunno if anyone else has posted this already as i haven't been here much recently, but does anyone else think Hi-Tek's beats on Beg For Mercy were perhaps the Hi-Tek beats for Oh My God?
The two reasons why i was wondering this is because they seem like Hi-Tek went up a level in terms of production but more importantly because Larry Chatman was the production co-ordinator for both of the Hi-Tek tracks. Normally he only works with Dre and so i was thinking it was from when Hi-Tek went out to Cali and was working with Dre & Ra, and he got the full use of Dre's music team. I just don't see the need for Larry Chatman to work with Hi-Tek just for a G-Unit song (if so, why only Hi-Tek?). And if they are beats from Oh My God does this now mean Dre is gonna be giving away the tracks made for Oh My God to Aftermath artists? (Better than them going to waste, if they were that dope).
Or maybe Dre is trying to get Hi-Tek to sign with Aftermath ???

What tracks did Hi-Tek produce on "Beg For Mercy"? I know we had the whole production list in one of the threads about the album, but I'm a lazy muafucka ;D Could somebody please post the Tek-produced tracks?

"G-Unit" and "Eye For An Eye". Both bangin' IMO.

That's a very interesting point. Both hot beats, but I just can't hear Ra over 'G-Unit'. The other one would suit him though.

I can't picture Rakim spittin' over the "G-Unit" beat either. But ya never know.
-
Within the first few seconds of G-Unit i was thinking how Ra could annihilate that beat, but to each his own.
-
actually i wouldnt have been suprised if the g-unit beat was meant for ra, since the chicks in it tryna giv it some mo flava which they was tryna giv ra joints......but the other i dunno about, but def ra in 2003.......in which they wanted him to be more appealing to cats and shit, im sure that would have been a beat they tried ra on, dunno if it would have made the final version though,. peace

I would hope that Hi-Tek would bring better beats to Rakim.

Remember it was (partly) because of Hi-Tek & Just Blaze's beats not being good enough.

Hi-Tek did also a Track with Joe Beast ... <--- AFTERMATH ;)
