Title: Imagine if Dre schooled and put out Crooked I
Post by: KingRichard on December 22, 2003, 04:51:39 AM
Crook over them hardcore Dre beats, unfuckwitable..

Shame Crook is still stuck on them 3rd rate beats.

It's almost too painful to think about.

But if Crook had been pushed by Aftermath and Interscope the way 50 was? :o He'd be a star, and the West Coast would be very, very proud.

Honestly, best not to think about things like this for too long. We'll only get emotional.

Yup, yup...

But as long as he's with Death Row, I don't think we're going to hear Crook bust over anybody's beats. Not at least for a full album.

No if he signed with Aftermath or any major Label you bitches would scream "SELLL OUT" so  now he's keeping it "real" with Death Row

I would've been glad if he had signed with Aftermath, because he would be having a very successful career right now (not 100% sure about that, but still...).

But on the otherhand, it's true, some people would say he's a sell-out (hit-singles that may sound a bit commercial and this and that...). But frankly, that's not my problem. I wish Crooked Icon the best of luck and hopefully he finds himself a good label.

If Crook signed with Aftermath, he would get a few 100 K new fans in a instant, but he would also lose 75% of the fans he already have..

It would be ill, but I would rather see Pharoahe Monch or Royce da 5'9 sign with Aftermath..
Dre is supposed to work with Pharoahe, and has worked with Royce, so it's actually more likely, plus they're both iller lyricists, imo.. Crook lacks certain qualities.

If Crooked signed with Dre he'd being the same as he is right now. Crooked I would turn out like Xzibit, an amazing lyricist brought to shit due to Dre(like Suge is) taking control of his direction. Crooked I too high caliber of an emcee to be in any situation like that.

Monch is debateable, but Royce is nowhere near Icon. Believe it. Crooked I needs to touch down with King Tech, that's his best bet. He'll keep all his fans, he'll make MUCH better music and he won't be held back.

..."Underground Tactics" with Heltah Skeltah...

Whoah, he did a track with Heltah Skeltah? When was it recorded, because I haven't heard from Heltah Skeltah for a long time now, but that Ruck a/k/a Sean Price started his solo-career. What happened with them as a duo, because on the Duckdown website they aren't even mentioned anymore (only Sean Price solo)?

It also features Planet Asia. It's from 1999, the Sway & Tech "This Or That" album. Well, I know the BCC put out an album this year, I'm not sure if Heltah Skeltah was on it. Ruck is starting his solo career like your said, but so was Rock. He had a single that was getting a lot of burn with Nate Dogg "Walk Like A G." But, I don't know what happened after that. I've always liked Rock better.

But, yea, peep that track. Icon's verse is  :o

...Well, I know the BCC put out an album this year, I'm not sure if Heltah Skeltah was on it...

Yeah, Rock was definitely the better one, although I think Ruck had more lyrical talent, but Rock's voice is incredible. I have many Boot Camp Clik affiliated stuff, but unfortunately I still have to cop "The Chosen Few" (I think you meant this album), because Amazon Germany doesn't deliver it anymore. But as I heard Rock is not on it, that's why I was askin' what's goin' on with him. He isn't listed on the Duckdown website, he isn't featured on the new BCC album, nobody's speakin' of Heltah Skeltah anymore, that's why I was thinkin' that they probably got beef or something.

...But, yea, peep that track. Icon's verse is  :o

I try to find the track, thank you very much.

Yea, Heltah Skeltah needs to come back with an album. Personally, Ruck has always bored me. But, Rock, like you said, has an incredible voice. I listen when he busts. If you can't find it, I'll try to upload it for you.
