I've only watched the episodes that have been on BBC2 so far and i thought it was fucking hilarious for the first few episodes, however some sketches are starting to already become too repetetive. It's still the funniest sketch show for a while.
-
its awful....good in parts but I still find it really awful.
-
^^
REally ? damn im shocked...
...maybe ive misjudged the programme...ive only seen 3 episodes but i havent found the jokes to be that repetative...the typical situations sometimes are hillaroious... my fav so far with the 2 guys go to the swimming pool...brilliant comedy - kinda reminds me visually of Ben Elton verbally in the early eighties
-
i think its really good
this christmas i'm looking forward to the big impression, the office and only fools and horses who all have new xmas specials
i'm annoyed cos i already missed eastenders twice this week which neva happens! i dunno what has come over me

Haven't seen it, i'm in America. Most of our comedy shows aren't that funny, it's just typical lowbrow humour. Friends and shows like that though are consistantly funny, however.

Dunno if it's available on Kazaa or Mirc but have a look, i reckon you'll find it pretty funny. It follows the lives of different British people all over the country. It might be on BBC America soon (dunno if you've got that channal).

The wheelchair bloke, the only gay in the village, and that teenage girl are hilarious.. The rest is average.
Only Fools and Horses was poor the other night. Should have ended it ages ago. Without Trigger I don't think I would have laughed all night.
Roll on The Office.

Bez mate, you're a tit. Trig was the only good thing about only fools and The Office was fucking amazing (especially considering it was a christmas special, they're normally half as good)

You probably just don't relate to it or something, but most of America thinks Friends is one of the greatest shows of all time. I think it's pretty easily the best show on television right now, and has been for years.

Office was hilarious. Couldn't stop laughing when he went on the Internet dating website or when he was on the minor celebrity Blind date.
Anyone else think Dawn looked fine as fuck? :-\
-
i thought Dawn looked fine enough to fuck, not as fuck.
-
I said Trig was funny, lol.
Only fools was good but Trig is the only funny charachter that was in it really. Del and Rodders didnt make me laugh much.
I thought the Office was ok, didnt laugh much at that. I liked it when he said to the Halifax guy "I'll come to you if I need mortgage advice arlite mate" that was funny as fuck. I just didnt like the fact that all of it wasn't set in the actual Office thats all. No doubt it was a good episode for a Chrismtas one but I can understand why they aint making n e more now.
-
Fawlty Towers was one of the classic British comedies, but there were only 12 episodes ever made. No points in ruining a show because of weak story lines.

I really liked the way they were 'out' of the office, i thought it was really good the way they were seeing what people were doing now as opposed to everyone still being there.

Yeah, they changed the style up a bit, which was good. I liked the way they closed the whole thing on a 'happy ending' as well - took some balls not to just give it the typical feel. Nice.
As for Little Britain, reminds me of League of Gentlemen - really dark but so funny you've got to laugh. Best sketch I've seen was one where some guy is introducing his mate to his family and his mate starts chatting up his gran ;D
-
^^
yeah that unnerved me ...i loved league of gentleman..prob me sense of humour...
...one where i nearly wet myself was with the wheelchair dude going to the pool and sneakily diving in and swimming back to his chair before his carer or the lifeguard noticed...i like the schoolgirl sketch too as she reminds me of every girl from bristol i see around and about...
...you giving me evalls ? haha
britain has been great and innovative in comedy for around 30/40 years now...
..america's got some good exports too tho like the simpsons lol
-
america also did family guy thats the funniest cartoon ever. friends was good but come ain't every1 bored of the gazillions re-runs i mean its on like 5 times a day.
i liked the only fools and horses xmas special even tho it wasn't the greatest still nice to see a new episode of the greatest comedy ever (my collection is 2 specials away from complete then i'll have every episode ;D)
the office specials were cool
i loved parts of league of gentleman but other sketches made me wanna change channel
-
Cheers was the shit back in the day. God Bless America for that show. In fact i'm watching it right now :D.
