Liquid Swords for me
-
^^ Same here. Although "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx..." probably had the most potential to be the best one, Raekwon can't fuck with the Genius. GZA's voice/flow/delivery is unfuckwitable 8) And "Liquid Swords" was the beginning of a great solo-career with three dope albums.
The only disappointing solo-debuts of the clan in my eyes were "Golden Arms Redemption" and "Uncontrolled Substance" (yeah I don't like it).

"Only Built 4 Cuban Linx"
(Consider this a group album more than a solo tho...)
Raekwon & Ghostface killed it.. :o
cemented & gave life to the "Wu-Gambino's" style..
that 90% of hip-hop used during the late 90's & still 2 this day.
followed by a hair is "Liquid Swords"
Gza is :-X
classic after classic..
"Cold world"
"4th chamber"
"Shadow boxin" (with Method man)
ect...
2 cent's..

Cuban Linx no doubt
I even like this more than 36 Chambers, Rae & Ghost are one of the best duos in hiphop ever and they killed it on as good as every song on this album. RZA's production is incredible, Deck, Meth and Nas dropped sum classic verses too...also this album kinda ushered in the era of mafia-inspired rap, many MC's got on that shit after they did. This is prolly one of my 5 favorite albums of all time
Next up would be "Liquid Swords", amazin lyrics, great production, full of classics

May not have been the best lyrically, but I like ODB's first joint the best.
-
Cuban Linx, Tical, & Legend Of The Liquid Sword are tied for me.
-
tical comes out on top for me
but raekwon's was hella tight as well

True...for me its the meth...very very closely followed by gza...both outstanding solo albums...then rae then close to odb...rae i agree with Hatesrats his album is more him and ghost not him with a bit of ghost (and the others)...i can play meth for the cracc...gza for me is more inspirational not only lyrics like B.I.B.L.E but the whole sound, production of the album...rae was tight as hell..maybe one track in there i dont like but his style on the album sounded wu (mafia family)...odb was a drunken classic..some real good tunes there but a couple of wacked out tunes..

no one for either ghostface album? damn....
-
1. Liquid Swords
2. Cuban Linx

Only Built For Cuban Linx is like a classic cinematic epic experience out of speakers, the visions in your mind only.
