i gotta say rage is one of my favorite groups of all time. always come with heat. it sucks that they broke up, but they say it's for the better. every album of theirs is fuckin dope. and gotta say their new live cd is one of the best live cds i've ever heard. pick it up if you're a rage fan.....
but post here if ya'll like rage -that rakim cover is the hottest cover i ever heard ("microphone fiend" offa renegades)

yeah they're cool.. prefer their first album, and renegades (<- my room mate here at work listens to that a lot when he gets a look in on the music here ;))

my seconds favourite group ever, (after led zeppelin) love everyone of their albums. Testify is probably my fav. song of theirs.. shit i love all their stuff.

i heard fromma reliable source, that DJ Quik produced a song for zack D for Zack's upcoming album

havent really heard alot of them, but thier songs like 'wake up' from matrix and a few other commercial ones are cool.

Yer i've like the music they make for awhile now. What i like about them the most is what they stand for (i.e. political force/issues) gives them the inspiration to make such good music, and it's easy to see that there was a 'realness' behind them. Sleep Now in the Fire was my favourite video of theirs, the video/lyrics really shows what ratm were all about.
Can't exactly remember why they split, but it was a shame. Zack is incomparable to today's rap-metal bands (i.e. Limp Bizkit, etc) and Tom Morello is up there with Jimi Hendrix as the best guitarist of all time *imo. Audioslave aren't too bad, even tho the tracks produce more of a soundgarden sound to rage, despite the majority of the group being ex-ratm members.

rage is an amazing group...i suggest you peep their new live concert on dvd to get an idea of how crazy their concerts used to be...there is a guest appearance by cypress hill and they cover how i could just kill a man...
if you were a big fan of rage and their sound i suggest you peep Audioslave...it consists of the band rage, minus zach, and their lead singer is chris cornell...he's the former singer of soundgarden, peace.

IMO they are the best overrated band ever
people give too much credit to tom's guitar playing.....look up his stuff in tab form it's not really THAT genius...he's just an effects whore,lol. look at his set up live he's got more boxes than skid row blvd. in no way is he up there with hendrix as one of the best ever.....if you were talking about steve vai, satriani yngwie malmsteen, eddie van halen, slash, kirk hammett, angus young,duane allman, or jimmy page you'd have an arument.lol, but with all that said his solos on bulls on parade and in killing in the name of are classic top 100 shit.

i heard audioslave and gotta say it's not that impressive to me. i think the energy of rage lies in zach de la, i think that that audioslave sounds so.....soundgarden to me. i'm not really feelin it at all

yea Zach's voice and charisma were a big part of rage against the machine's sound, u cant just replace him

Yeah, just starting to get into Rage. Most of my mates at uni are into rock music big time, so thats mainly what we listen to when drinking and smoking weed. Out of all of it, Rage is one of the few bands I can actually listen to and enjoy, Zack De La Rocha is real dope. Need to buy some of their albums though big time.

i was listenin to renegades of funk earlier does anyone and i swear they use the same drum beat in that ghost nate and ronson tune ooh wee but i don't have it on my computer can some1 confirm or deny this?
