House is REALLY good, imo.  Also, Psycho 2, i always thought was good.  People act like it messed up the first one, but I don't feel that way.  It's a good sequel, don't expect a masterpiece, but it's pretty good.  I used to have nightmares about that movie as a kid.

You forgot probably the greatest horror movie of all, The Shining.

Gotta add in two horror classics from Japan:

The Ring (not the wack ass American version)
The Audition

They fuck with you psychologically, especially Audition.

It's been YEARS since I saw house, so NIK can annoyingly chime in and tell me where I'm wrong and He's right, but if I remember, the First house was a straight up Horror movie about this different dimension caught inside this house, and the second House movie was actually a COMEDY, and actually pretty fucking funny.  It was still a horror movie, but had comedic elements, with a similar expanded storyline.  The second one is the one I've seen the most.

From hearing what you said about it, I think I have seen it on T.V. once....I may be wrong but is this the movie where the house is killing people and the people are having trouble finding a way out?  any more info would be great, Thanks...

the way you guys are describing the house remake it sounds like it could be thirteen ghosts or house on haunted hill...they both have a similar storyline to what you guys are saying.

i'd have to say a classic would be the blair witch project...oh wait you said horror not horrible...umm then Psycho (even though it wasnt scary) and Dracula

Yes all 3 have similar storylines...but the one I'm thinking of isnt either of these 2...and Bram hit me up on AIM, I'll be on in a sec

yeah man house is the shit, I seen the second one too, and yeah its pretty funny.  they got that like green dog/worm and that thing used to make me laugh.  I can't really remember much at all about the movies, but yeah there is something about a different dimension.  Man, makes me really wanna go rent those movies now.  All I remember about the original house is there is some crazy creature(s) in it.  like some flying dragon type thing, and something that comes in throught the chimney and fireplace.

oh yeah some more classic horror movies:
poltergeist I and II
children of the corn
cats eye

hahaha don't take my word for it being good, like I said it was over 15 years ago when I saw it.  I was much younger and had different taste in movies.  but then again, I may watch it today and still like it.

all the ones i own

and you want a run down on house..... they said in the making of featurette that it was supposed to be a mix of horror and comedy, that's why some of the models look so goofy and shit...

here's a rundown of the story:

a man inherited this house after his mom killed herself due to the hauntings (i think it was his mom) this is the same house where his son vanished and he lost his wife due to that...he came back to to write a book about his experiences in vietnam and that's when his house starts going crazy....the nosey neighbor is played by that one guy in cheers, the fat guy....and the main ghost is the bailiff off of night court

I can stamp approval on these, ESPECIALLY Rose Red.  It's long as shit, but ANOTHER story about a house killing people.  Written by Stephen King for T.V., I think it's 5 hours long.  Excellent Story.  By the way, the Shining was also about a house killing people, lol damn.

AH! That's right, I forgot about the Vietnam connection.  Damn, yeah, go pick up the first 2.  I can't remember if the third one is any good (I believe there's a third).

yeah rose red has to be the longest movie i own....ringing in at 254 minutes....also one of the few annoying movies that i wished one of the main actors would die a horrible bloddy mutilating death....but never did.

Speaking of Gremlins, I saw it again the other week for the first time in ages at a mates house, and is it just me or does the lead male character look exactly like Valencia midfielder Pablo Aimar? I couldn't believe it when I saw it, they are nearly identical.
