its not the version that starts with mixmaster spade saying "New York (it's comin)... Detroit (it's comin)... . (it's comin)... No, it's here..."
but the earlier underground version that is over the 'roxanne, roxanne' beat

Toddy Tee -is- old school.. batterram came out in '85.. he was one of the first west coast rappers to go national.
-
yo seer check #bay2la
they got the track u lookin for. on the B2LA-006 bot.
-
nah thats the wrong one.. see where i said "its not the version that goes"... in the first post here..
this version i want is the original version that is over the roxanne roxanne beat that got toddy tee signed, and when he got signed he made the batterram single you're talking about ;)
-
Yeah back in the 80's with Mixmaster Spade & Toddy Tee. He did the version you want of Better Ram in 84 I think "Better Ram, You cant stop it baby". He was one of the original LA Gangsta rappers from and you are right, from TRAGNEW PARK. . .
-
just found this.... i think i got somewhere to buy it cheap.. think this OG version isnt on here, unless its the 7" version... . but its still worth me copping for the bargain price i got set up :)
i do have lyrics for the OG version too (they're in a book tho..)
Toddy Tee
(A) Batterram (12" Vocal Version)
(B) Batterram (7" Version)

*edit* oh, the original version, i don't think i've even listened to it. Your only chance would be ebay, or maybe a second hand shop that holds hip-hop cds.
