Title: 213 officially dead?
Post by: Suffice on January 28, 2004, 12:01:40 AM
damn, 213's album is officially dead? Has Snoop, Warren or Nate comfirmed this? if this is the case, this is the WORST decision by the three artists. THis would mean they're just turnin' their backs on the loyal fans, and show that they're really going after the money. I mean, the album was DONE! they had 30 tracks recorded. I'd rather hear a not-so-excellent 213 album than no 213 album at all, wouldn't you?

no, I would rather have no 213, rather than a crappy sell out album.

i think wat theyre doing now is selling out. shelving one of the most anticipated albums of all time coz theyre afraid they wont make enif money. like SnoopGogg818 said, theyre turning their back on their loyal fans.

peace

i want it to come out, coz its gonna jump start warren's career again, and he will get better major deals for his solo album, and maybe his own distribution for gfunk, and then he can release some albums from some dpg's that warren will take up as protege's

Tooo Late.

This album should have dropped back in 93 if anytime (even though it was due before that) but 94 at the latest.

I dont want a 213 album released now. Snoop is just wack. he aint got the hunger in him no more. Warrens latest solo wasn't exactly his strongest and nate- well nate is nate and has always remained the same. The rap and the beat of the group isn't too great anymore - you do the math

Be sick if they came through with a double CD.

I rather hear 1 cd with 80% heat than 2cds with 40% heat each one.

Right - 213 alog with many of the top sucessful rap artists of today have nothing to acomplish on the terms of being known or making that break - therefore tend not to have the hunger to work harder. Snoop now pays to have neptunes on his projects and other top producers rather than making music that made him and glorified his name in the first place. You see it's all about money now (not just to 213, im talking on other artists) and they will try to find the easiest route to money - whether it be from high price tag production from big producers or selling their soul to advertise in some commercial dressed as a chicken or whatever. But whatever the route, they never wil be able to take their true original stance.

213 need to quit with the idea of dropping a classic album. They want to give the fans soe quality music - then I suggest they release some of the older unreleased music from back in the day. The time when they were hungry young artists on the right route and the right path to what they used their talents to accomplish and not their ready made millions they have today.

Im out!

^^what's the purpose of quotin urself and postin it twice?

I'm disappointed and really I dunno why they don't drop it. It wouldn't sell like it would have ten years ago (they should've dropped it back then anyways) but I don't think it'd sell that bad. Like this they only disappoint their fans and they won't make any money off sumthin they would've at least made a bit off

Good point there...

A lotta folks are misunderstanding the situation about the amount of tracks though... 30 finished tracks doesn't mean they necessarily have enough tracks to put on two albums. You gotta make a whole lot more tracks than what's gonna end up on the album so you can make sure you got the most heat possible... I mean Knoc-Turn'al did 300 tracks for his Knoc's Landing album (that sadly never came out), and out of those 300 they selected the finest ones for the album. With 30 tracks you could have one whole album, if they're dope enough. Don't forget they gotta make up a good, coherent group of tracks too - you can't slap just random tracks, no matter how dope, on a disc and have a proper album.
