This "Educational Video" glosses over very complex historical and political issues. Diplomacy and economic interests are highly complex matters. Selective historical recounts are used as rhetorical weapons by all shades on the political spectrum...
I certainly don't trust my country's leaders blindly, but at the same time, we don't (and shouldn't) know all of the details that go into the formation of their international decisions. There are a lot of pieces of the puzzle that we don't know about.
It's disturbing that so many people are so quick to assign motives to the actions of our leaders. Those who find a horrible ulterior motive in every decision Bush makes are idiots. But, no more so than those who believe that every decision he makes is for the best for the world.
Oh, And there's a forum for this type of stuff...
Train of Thought
A place for reflection on religious, political, psychological, social, life and more serious issues.

We are a nation that is supposibly ran by the people. We the people should know what we are getting ourselve into by electing certain people.
