West Coast? Maybe "Terrorist Threats", maybe "Phillaphornia"...but the tightest shit didn't come from the w/c last year, might be Canibus' "Rip The Jacker", David Banner's "Mississippi" or Gangstarr's "The Ownerz"...or even Outkast
-

Canibus' "Rip The Jacker",
seriously?
i mean, it sounded tite and all
but Canibus was rapping about nothing at all on this record lol
true for most of the album, but he's ill...I consider Canibus a lyrical acrobat much more than a storyteller or sumbody supposed to tell a message. He's an extremly tite rapper even when he says nuthin. I mean, listen to a track like "Poet Laureate II", he straight up RIPS that shit for minutes. Plus Stoupe did a great producin job, so overall this was a very tight album IMO
But 2003 kinda didn't have an album that combined dope ass lyrics & flows, messages, uniqueness, innovation, great beats etc...a year ago i could've mentioned shit like "The Future Is Now" which IMO had all that, but in 03 i can't think of any album as "complete"...so "Rip The Jacker" is one of my favs

Man, this is really a hard topic to talk about, my favorite album (s) of last year was:
Yukmouth - "Godzilla"
Too $hort - "Married to the Game"
Atticipating the new San Quinn album, shit sounds sick as fuck
E-40 - Breaking News
Damn, i hope 2004 we can bring the westcoast up a good step with Worldwide Westside Magazine.
