He did the chorus of "What's the difference?".....I don't understand why the track didn't say 'featuring Xzibit,Eminem & Phish'.......it isn't like he's just doing backing vocals there!

Phish played some instruments on "What's The Difference".  And yes, it is the hippie group.

Actually, Dre or Mel-Man or both lifted the bass line from the old Phish song. An illegal sample that Dre had to pay $3M for.
