Both albums are worth picking up. Probably my favourite group from the south at the moment.

They're OK. Kinda goofy and emo-esque. I can't really get into that whiny Hip Hop. But, they got some coo shit. Little Brother is much better, but "Southernunderground" is def. worth a purchase.

If you really think that my friend, then you obviously don't have soul.

imo that whiny emo shit is gay..they need to go chill with the pussy emo-punk rock kids. "ban commercialism" "Lets go Protest" they on that type shit.

i only heard 1 song by Cunninlynguists, "the seasons" it was real tight. The production sounded like DJ premier, but it's not him. The song is good, so maybe i should get their CDs?

to whoever said little brother was overrated...pull the 50 cent cd out of your cd player, clean your ears and listen to some good shit...little brother is UNDERrated as fuck.

as far as being on the ban commercialism tip...i agree with mousehowl...thats not what their into. listen to the albums and you'll hear an album thats basically full of punch lines...its basically a battle album w/ the exception of a few songs.

lol @ luke. i was the dude that said both of those things. yeah, i like cunninglynguists but don't like little brother. people go so nuts over them. i don't see what the big deal is. i really don't like the emcee's. 9th wonder is alright. i'll most probably pick up the album he's doing with murs. by the way, the dude who produced "seasons" is rjd2, not premo. i think rj is a better producer. oh, and another thing, if you think i actually listen to 50 cent, take a closer look at who i talk about in my posts.

lol i didnt even realize you said both those things...i know you dont listen to 50 cent lol. i love 9th though...9th is the man, never made a beat i didnt like, phonte is a dope emcee...i didnt realize 9th was doin an album w/ murs though...ill be pickin that up definetely.

I Never heard any of their tracks, all i know is that they made a Black Album Remix Album called THE WHITE ALBUM

source: www.h1phop.com Boards

Title: The White Album
Producer: Kno of Cunninglynguists.

Synopsis: One of the southern underground's best-kept secrets injects a new level of soul by giving The
Black Album some blue notes.

Pros: Staying true to the Blueprint formula Kno puts a more appropriate melancholy to tracks like "Moment of
Clarity" and "My First Song" with clever uses of lilting piano and haunting vocal samples. His ethereal "December 4th" is a better pairing for Jay-Z's autobiography than the overdramatic crescendos of the original. He makes the originally putrid " Justify My Thug" a pleasant listening experience by allowing Jay-Z's introspective verses to breathe and redoing the hook. Plus Kno re-sequences the project to give it a more seamless song order.

Cons: Bouncy violins of "PSA" and the conga percussion of his "99 Problems" rob both tracks of their
aggressive appeal.

Conclusion: When Jay-Z inevitably comes out of retirement he should definitely give Kno a call.

yeah thats just one member that did that though. the other(s) had nothing to do with it. im actually downloading the white album right now. i have heard its the best remix of the black album out there.

^^ "The White Album" is a very dope remix-album - Kno added some tight classical-beats, with violins, pianos, etc. But because I don't really like some of the "laid-back" productions, I prefer "The Grey Album" by Danger Mouse.

If you really think that my friend, then you obviously don't have soul.

soul? that's not soul, my friend. it's just taste in music.

But it's based around the fact that you obviously don't like soulful stuff. From what I've seen of your posts you prefer more blunted type productions such as the artists on Def Jux have on their albums. It is your opinion and I respect that, I'm just saying that the fact that you don't have a need for soulful stuff is why you're not feeling Little Brother.

He's the type of dude that would take Aesop Rock over Pete Rock.
